Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for ### as they renounce manipulation, control, and narcissism, and ask God to heal their deep loneliness and grant them a wife who loves Jesus Christ.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up ### in prayer as they seek freedom from the chains of manipulation, control, and narcissistic patterns that have entangled their life. The Word of God is clear: "Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-11 WEB). The sin of adultery is a grievous violation of the marriage covenant, and we must first acknowledge its destructive power before the Lord. If ### has been involved in adultery, whether physically, emotionally, or through lust, we repent on their behalf and ask for God’s forgiveness and cleansing. The blood of Jesus is sufficient to wash away all unrighteousness, but true repentance requires turning away from sin and walking in obedience to God’s commands.

The Lord hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), but He also hates the hardness of heart that leads to it. If ### is married, we pray for the restoration of their marriage, for reconciliation, and for a renewed commitment to love and cherish their spouse as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25). If they are single, we pray that God would guard their heart and mind, that they would flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18), and that they would seek a wife who fears the Lord (Proverbs 31:30). Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it must be entered into with reverence, wisdom, and a foundation built on Christ alone.

The struggle with codependency and control often stems from deep wounds, loneliness, rejection, or a distorted view of love. We rebuke the spirit of manipulation in Jesus’ name and command it to leave. The enemy seeks to distort God’s design for relationships, but we declare that ### is a child of God, called to walk in freedom (Galatians 5:1). The Lord did not create us to be controlled or to control others, but to love one another as He has loved us (John 13:34). We pray that God would heal the loneliness in ###’s heart, not with the temporary comfort of sinful relationships, but with the eternal love of Christ. "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Let them find their identity, worth, and fulfillment in Him alone.

We also lift up the desire for a godly wife. It is good and right to long for marriage, but we must seek the Lord’s will above our own desires. "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4 WEB). We pray that ### would first be the man God has called him to be, a man of integrity, humility, and faith, before seeking a wife. A godly marriage is built on mutual submission to Christ, not on control or emotional dependency. We ask the Lord to prepare ###’s heart to lead with love, to serve with humility, and to cherish his future wife as a gift from God. May she be a woman who loves the Lord with all her heart, who walks in wisdom, and who will be a helpmate in every way (Proverbs 18:22).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7). We repent on behalf of ### for any involvement in adultery, manipulation, or control, and we ask for Your forgiveness and healing. Lord, break every chain of codependency and loneliness. Fill the void in their heart with Your perfect love, for You are the God who sets the lonely in families (Psalm 68:6). We rebuke the spirit of narcissism and command it to leave in Jesus’ name. Restore ### to a place of humility, repentance, and dependence on You alone.

Father, we pray for the restoration of any broken relationships, especially within marriage. If it is Your will, bring healing, forgiveness, and reconciliation. If ### is single, prepare them to be a godly husband who leads with love and wisdom. We ask that You would bring a wife who loves You, who walks in purity, and who will be a true partner in faith. Guard their heart from impure relationships and guide them into Your perfect will. May ### find their worth and identity in Christ alone, and may they walk in the freedom that only You can provide.

We declare that ### is not defined by their past mistakes but by the redeeming work of Jesus Christ. We speak life, healing, and restoration over their mind, body, and spirit. May they grow in wisdom, discernment, and faith as they seek You above all else. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect plan for ###’s life. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We appreciate you bringing ### to us in prayer. It means a lot that you care for him and want to see God do a deep work in his heart, especially around loneliness and the desire to release control and learn a different way of loving others.

Loneliness can be so heavy, and often the impulse to control grows right out of it, trying to secure closeness that only God can truly give. What encourages us here is his willingness to name that honestly and to want something better, a life marked by humility and a future marriage centered on Jesus. That turning is not easy and it does not happen all at once, it happens as he keeps walking with the Lord day by day.

One thing that may help him in this season is staying rooted in steady Christian community where he can be known. Regular worship with God's people and a small group of trusted, mature men who can encourage him, check in, and pray with him can make a real difference while God heals that loneliness and shapes his character.

Father, we lift ### to You. Draw near to him in his loneliness and fill the empty places with Your presence. Gently teach him how to let go of control and to love others with honesty and grace. Form him more into the likeness of Christ, and in Your wisdom and timing lead him according to Your will for marriage. Give him hope and perseverance as You continue Your work in him. In Jesus' name, amen.

There is mercy and hope in a prayer that asks God to turn the heart from sin to holiness, and we join you in bringing this need before the throne of grace.

To renounce manipulation, control and narcissism is to confess a truth which every child of God must learn, that we must not presume to exercise the control to which He has an exclusive right. The heart that once said, I will rule and manage and bend others to my will, now says, how should I venture to stand in the place of God. When God bids us walk in humility and truth, it is not for us to object or to ask whether we shall obey, but to yield ourselves wholly to His wise and gentle government. We pray that God will give a deep and abiding repentance, that self will be dethroned, and that Christ will reign in its place, teaching a new way of love that does not grasp or compel but serves and honors others.

We also bring before the Lord the deep loneliness of which you speak. Our Savior knows this sorrow well. He was left alone just when most, as Man, He needed human sympathy, and His solemn self surrender in that loneliness has an awfulness of love in it more fit for thought than words. There are seasons when the child of God endures loneliness arising from the absence of godly society, and seasons of deep soul conflict when faith must fight for very existence. If this loneliness is felt now, may it become a place where Christ draws near, for He understands it fully and He has promised never to leave nor forsake His own. We ask that the Lord will comfort this heart with His own presence, heal the wounds that have made loneliness so heavy, and build up a fellowship with godly people who will walk in truth and love.

And we pray with you concerning marriage. The Scripture teaches us that marriage is not a thing of mere circumstance but of choice on both sides, cemented by mutual love, where husband and wife become one. It is a holy covenant of one man and one woman for life, and it dimly reflects a greater mystery, the marriage of the Lamb, where Christ as the Lamb proved His love by His wounds and blood and joined His people to Himself by inseparable bonds. We ask that God would prepare this heart to love as Christ loves, with sincerity and purity, and that in His perfect time and wisdom, if it be His will, He would grant a wife who loves Jesus Christ, a godly woman who brings forth fruit unto God and with whom there may be a true and faithful union in the Lord. May any future marriage be built not upon neediness or control, but upon the mutual love and holy choice which God honors.

Let us pray together. O Lord, our gracious Father, we thank Thee that Thou hast put it into this heart to turn from manipulation and control and to seek Thy face. Forgive all that is past, cleanse by the blood of the Lamb, and create a new heart within. Teach this soul to rest under Thy control and to trust Thy ordering of all things. In loneliness, be Thou near, as Thou wast near to Thy Son in His loneliness, and let Thy fellowship be sweet and sufficient. Keep this one in godly sincerity, surrounded by godly friends who hedge the way with prayer, and following the path of those who have walked faithfully before. Prepare this life for whatever Thou hast appointed, and if it please Thee, provide a godly wife who loves Christ above all, that together they might serve Thee in holy love. Make the life henceforth to be marked by truth, humility and steadfast obedience, for Jesus sake. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Please pray for ### as they renounce manipulation, control, and narcissism, and ask God to heal their deep loneliness and grant them a wife who loves Jesus Christ.

Thank you very much God bless you as well.

We join you in praying for ### as he renounces manipulation, control and narcissism. It is right to turn away from these things, for they bring a grievous tyranny into the soul and into every relationship, and God calls us instead to virtue, which bestows true freedom and makes a person honorable even in hard circumstances.

We pray that God, through Jesus Christ alone who is our only salvation, will forgive what is past and grant a deep work of repentance and renewal. We ask Him to heal the deep loneliness that has been present, not with fleeting comforts, but with His own nearness, with steady prayer, with service to others and with fellowship among faithful believers.

Scripture teaches us to follow peace with all people and holiness, which means chaste and orderly living. Marriage is honorable and the bed undefiled, and it preserves the holiness that comes from faith by not permitting union outside of it. Marriage is a bond ordained by God, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sexual union belongs only within that covenant. An adulterous or impure way of life tears down what God has joined and brings ruin to houses and hearts.

So we pray that God will form ### in humility, gentleness and self control, that he will learn to love without controlling and to serve without manipulating, and that his life will be adorned with modesty, gravity and orderliness rather than display or selfish desire. While he waits, we pray his time and energy will be given to virtue and to doing good for others.

And we ask, according to the Lord's will and timing, that God would grant him a wife who loves Jesus Christ, so that together they might enter into that honorable covenant and walk in faithfulness to Christ and to one another. May God strengthen him to continue in this renunciation and to grow daily in the freedom that comes from living in holiness before Him.
