Let us come together in prayer for your beloved adult child who is in a distant city and needs help. We will intercede on their behalf, trusting in the power of Jesus' name.
Firstly, it is essential to remember that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved." Let us ensure that your child has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, as this is the foundation for all other blessings.
Now, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved adult child. We ask that You will help them to find godly friends in their new city, friends who will encourage and build them up in their faith. As Your Word says in 1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB: "Do not be deceived! 'Evil companionships corrupt good morals.'" We pray for discernment and wisdom in choosing relationships that honor You.
We rebuke any spirit of depression and loneliness that may be attempting to overtake them. We claim Your promise in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." We ask that You will fill them with Your hope and peace, strengthening their relationship with You.
We pray that they will find their purpose and happiness in Your will, Father. Help them to grow in their faith and to trust in You completely. As it is written in Psalm 143:10 WEB: "Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness."
