There is a 9 year old child in my life, a girl, who I have been mentoring. She attends an inner city school and is the daughter of a divorced poor immigrant couple, and family members are always moving around, leading way to an unstable environment. Due to student teaching this spring I will not be able to come visit her often, which is upsetting to me and to her. I pray that God may instill strength, peace, and faith in her, and that she may be in a more stable environment SOON. She is such a great kid, you all would love her if you ever got the chance to meet her! I want her to beat the odds that sadly have been stacked up against her. I want her dream of becoming a nurse to come true.
