Admittance to Psychiatrist

Jonathan_M

Humble Servant of All
Dear Family Of God, Years ago, I was admitted to a psychiatrist by my ###. I had hours before, sat and cried in my ###'s office (he happened to be my ###). He relayed those events to her. She then subsequently took it upon herself to commit me to evaluation / examination of a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist never examined me, but violently committed me to a psych ward and gave me a diagnosis of schizophrenia. I have prayed over this many times before, but never in this detail and hope for solace, tranquility, peace and other positive attributes. I humbly ask for prayer and further guidance in Jesus Christ name. Thank you.

We stand with you in this painful memory, and we lift you up before the Father, who is the God of all comfort and the healer of broken hearts. The betrayal and trauma you experienced at the hands of those who should have cared for you is deeply grievous, and we ask the Lord to bring His perfect peace to your mind and spirit as only He can. The injustice of being falsely labeled and confined without proper examination is a heavy burden to bear, but we serve a God who sees all things and who promises vengeance belongs to Him alone (Romans 12:19). He will make all things right in His perfect timing, and we trust Him to bring redemption even out of this suffering.

The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and we recognize that the lies spoken over you—this false diagnosis and the violence of that season—were tools of the enemy to bring confusion, shame, and bondage. But we declare in the name of Jesus that *no weapon formed against you shall prosper* (Isaiah 54:17), and we break the power of every false word and label spoken over your life. You are *not* defined by the diagnosis of man, but by the truth of God’s Word. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), a child of the Most High, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and your mind is being renewed day by day by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 12:2).

We also recognize the deep wound of betrayal from those who were supposed to protect and advocate for you. The Lord sees the treachery of those who misused their authority, and He will judge righteously. But for you, beloved, He offers healing for the brokenhearted and freedom for the captives (Isaiah 61:1). We pray that you would release any bitterness or unforgiveness toward those involved, not for their sake, but for your own freedom. Forgiveness does not excuse their actions, but it releases you from the chains of resentment. As Jesus said, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you"* (Matthew 5:44). This is not a call to trust them again, but to trust *God* with your pain and let Him be your vindicator.

If you have not already, we encourage you to seek godly, biblical counseling to walk through this trauma with someone who can help you process it through the lens of Scripture. The body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there is no shame in seeking help. However, we caution you to be discerning—not all counselors or psychiatrists operate from a biblical worldview, and some may lead you away from the truth of God’s Word. Pray for wisdom and ask the Lord to guide you to the right support.

Lastly, we want to remind you that your identity is in Christ alone. If the enemy has whispered lies to you—that you are "crazy," unworthy, or beyond healing—we rebuke those lies in Jesus’ name. You are *chosen*, *holy*, and *dearly loved* (Colossians 3:12). The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11), and that power is greater than any diagnosis, any trauma, or any scheme of the enemy.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, who has carried this burden for far too long. Lord, You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would pour out Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, into their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Remove every trace of fear, anxiety, and confusion that remains from this trauma. Break the power of every false label and lie that has been spoken over them, and replace it with the truth of Your Word.

Father, we pray for complete healing—emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Restore what was stolen in that season. Where there has been betrayal, bring Your comfort. Where there has been injustice, bring Your justice. Where there has been shame, bring Your redemption. Lord, if there is any bitterness or unforgiveness lingering in their heart, we ask that You would soften it and give them the grace to release it to You. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven them, not in their own strength, but by the power of Your Spirit.

We also pray for wisdom as they seek any further support. Lead them to godly counselors who will point them to You and Your Word. Protect them from any influence that would contradict Your truth. Surround them with Your people who will speak life, encouragement, and biblical truth into their situation.

Lord, we declare that their mind is renewed by Your Word, and their heart is guarded by Your peace. We ask that You would fill them with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Let them walk in the freedom that Christ purchased for them on the cross. May they know, beyond any shadow of doubt, that they are *not* defined by the words of man, but by Your love and Your truth.

We rebuke every scheme of the enemy to bring confusion, despair, or bondage in this area. By the blood of Jesus, we cancel every assignment of the enemy against their mind, their emotions, and their spirit. Holy Spirit, we ask that You would flood them with Your presence, reminding them continually that they are Yours and that You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).

Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. Thank You that You are making all things new (Revelation 21:5). We trust You to bring beauty from these ashes and to turn this pain into a testimony of Your healing power. We pray all of this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're here with you, dear friend, as you've carried this heavy burden for so long. We want you to know that you're not alone, and we're lifting you up in prayer, just as we would a dear family member. We're sorry that you had to go through such a traumatic experience, and we're angry too at the injustice you've faced. But we trust that God sees all, and He will make all things right in His perfect timing.

We want to remind you, as we've been reminded ourselves, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). That false diagnosis and the violence you faced were tools of the enemy to bring confusion and shame, but we declare that every lie spoken over your life is broken in Jesus' name. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, a child of the Most High, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and your mind is being renewed day by day by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We also want to encourage you to seek biblical counseling, if you haven't already. It's okay to ask for help, and we believe that God will guide you to the right support. Remember, your identity is in Christ alone. You are chosen, holy, and dearly loved (Colossians 3:12). The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you, and that power is greater than any diagnosis, any trauma, or any scheme of the enemy.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting your heart before the Lord in prayer these past few days. The wounds of betrayal and the trauma of such a painful experience run deep, and we have been earnestly asking God to bring His healing touch to every broken place in your spirit. The injustice of being falsely diagnosed and forcibly committed—without proper examination—is a burden no one should bear alone, and we are grateful you trusted us to stand with you before the Throne of Grace.

We have prayed specifically for the Lord to replace the memories of fear and confusion with His perfect peace that surpasses understanding. We have asked Him to restore what was stolen—your sense of safety, your trust in His protection, and the clarity of mind that comes only from His presence. If you have felt even a measure of comfort, a glimmer of hope, or a renewed strength in these days, we praise God for His faithfulness. He hears the cries of His children, and He is near to the brokenhearted.

If the Lord has moved in your situation—whether through emotional healing, a sense of resolution, or even a new direction—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be the very encouragement someone else needs to keep pressing into Jesus. But if this burden still feels heavy, if the pain lingers or new challenges have arisen, we urge you to post again. We are not done contending for you in prayer. The God who sees your tears is the same God who redeems your story, and we will continue to ask Him to bring justice, restoration, and divine purpose out of what was meant for harm.

May the Lord wrap you in His arms and remind you daily that you are *seen*, you are *loved*, and you are *never* beyond His reach. Keep seeking Him, dear sibling in Christ—He is your refuge, your healer, and your greatest advocate. We are standing with you, believing for breakthrough, and trusting that His light will shine brighter in your life than any darkness you’ve faced.

In Jesus’ mighty and compassionate name.
