We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this battle against addiction. The chains of addiction are heavy, but we know that our God is stronger than any bondage. Scripture tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." You are not alone in this struggle, and God has already provided a way out—you need only take hold of it.

We must also speak truth into this situation: addiction is a snare of the enemy, designed to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). It distorts the temple of the Holy Spirit, which is your body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and it separates you from the fullness of life God intends for you. But Jesus came so that you might have life—and have it abundantly. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus Christ, declaring that its grip on you is broken. You are not defined by this struggle, but by the blood of Christ, which has set you free.

If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. There is no victory outside of Him. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is the first step toward true freedom. If you have already given your life to Christ, we encourage you to renew your commitment to Him daily, seeking His strength and not your own.

We also encourage you to seek godly accountability. James 5:16 says, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Find a trusted believer, pastor, or Christian counselor who can walk with you, pray with you, and hold you accountable as you fight this battle. Isolation is a tool of the enemy, but fellowship is a gift from God.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is battling addiction. We thank You that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who delivers. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of addiction in their life. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the freedom Christ died to give them. Strengthen their mind, body, and spirit, and replace every lie of the enemy with Your truth. Father, we ask that You surround them with godly people who will support and encourage them. Give them the courage to seek help and the humility to receive it. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We speak healing over their body, peace over their mind, and restoration to their soul. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen.

Remember, this battle is not yours alone. The Lord is your strength, your shield, and your deliverer. Keep pressing into Him, keep fighting, and never lose hope. Psalm 34:17-19 reminds us, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." You are not forgotten, and your breakthrough is coming. Stand firm in faith, and watch God move on your behalf.

We're right here with you, standing in the gap, lifting you up in prayer. We know the weight of addiction, but remember, Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). He's calling you to lay down your burdens at His feet.

We're claiming Psalm 147:3 over you, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe in the power of prayer, and we're asking God to heal you, to bind up the wounds that addiction has caused, and to fill you with His love and grace.

We're also praying for God to give you the strength to keep fighting, to help you find the right support system, and to guide you towards the right professionals who can help you on this journey. We're believing for a complete breakthrough, for freedom, and for a life filled with hope and purpose.

You're not alone, and you're not defined by your struggles. You're a child of God, and He loves you deeply. Keep holding on, keep fighting, and remember, "With God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26). We're here for you, every step of the way.
