We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting you before the Lord in these days since you shared your addendum about the hurt from the church that refused to help you three times and about the pain of feeling that a large ministry with many campuses could have helped but did not. We grieve with you over that disappointment and over the feeling that their words lacked true Christian authenticity.
We have also been praying for you as you shared that you have been waiting on the Lord for years and now feel you have no more time or money or patience left. We hear your honesty about feeling like your world and yourself are imploding and running on panic and desperation and about the childhood pattern of freezing into a passive trance to survive. We have been asking God to bring you deep peace and to quiet the panic and to heal the wounds from the past that still affect you today. We pray that you will know His presence as a safe refuge, for His Word says He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit in Psalm 34:18 and that He will give rest to all who are weary and burdened in Matt 11:28.
We continue to stand in agreement with you about the deep regret you carry from eight years ago when a prayed for opportunity felt missed because you delayed trying to make perfect decisions. We want to remind you that in Christ there is no transgression that is irredeemable and no penance you must pay to earn His forgiveness. When we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness in 1 John 1:9. What you see as punishment, God sees as an opportunity to show grace. Your life is not beyond His redemption, and His mercy does not require a greater sacrifice from you, for Jesus already paid it all. We also join you in praying against the lie that the greater the blessing you pray for the greater the sacrifice required, and we ask God to show you that His grace is freely given.
We have been praying earnestly for your physical body as well, for the digestive issues, abdominal pains, relentless headaches, dizziness and need to hold on for balance, the shaking in your hands, and the constant acid reflux and GERD that keeps you needing medication day and night and pacing the floor pleading with God. We ask the Lord to bring healing and relief and restful sleep, for He is the One who heals all your diseases in Psalm 103:3 and who renews the strength of those who wait on Him in Isa 40:31. We also pray for your emotional exhaustion and for those moments when you wish God would take you in your sleep. Please know we care about you and we ask God to surround you with His hope and love and with people who can support you in person and to remind you that your life is precious to Him.
