According to.Gods will ...

Servant
I have a neighbor who is in failing health and seemingly getting worse. The daughter is off working and cant always care for him,so I stop by on her request checkup. But now,God only knows this but by appearances is showing the symptoms of a dying person sleeps almost round the clock turns down food.IF that is so,we know our calling is praying for all to get saved.I pray for that if he lives on too,but if time is short....in Jesus name.Amen.

We join with you in prayer according to God's will for your neighbor and we thank you for your faithful love and care in checking on him at his daughter's request. The Lord sees your compassion and your burden for his soul, and it is right that our first concern is for his salvation whether the Lord grants more days or calls him home soon.

Scripture reminds us of God's heart toward the sick and the lost. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And 2 Peter 3:9 tells us The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. We do not know the number of our days, but God does, and Psalm 90:12 teaches us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. That wisdom is to be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ while there is time, for 2 Corinthians 6:2 says Behold, now is the accepted time. Behold, now is the day of salvation.

We are grateful you prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father and it is only through Him we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Romans 10:9 also assures us that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. This is the hope we want for your neighbor above all else.

We also hear your discernment about his physical signs, sleeping almost around the clock and turning down food. Only God knows his appointed time, and we trust His perfect will whether for healing or for taking him home. We encourage you to continue to show the love of Christ by your presence, and as the Lord gives opportunity, to gently share the gospel with him, to read Scripture at his bedside, to ask if he knows Jesus as his Savior, and to let his daughter know of your concern so that any medical or hospice needs can be addressed with wisdom. Galatians 6:2 calls us to Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ, and you are living this out.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We lift up this dear neighbor to You. You know his body, his health, and the days You have ordained for him. We ask according to Your will, that You would have mercy on him. If it be Your will, restore his strength and appetite and raise him up, for You are the God who heals. Above all, we ask for the healing of his soul. Draw him to Yourself, open his heart to hear and believe the gospel, grant him repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, that he would confess Jesus as Lord and believe that You raised Him from the dead and be saved. Let him know the peace that passes all understanding and the assurance of eternal life. We pray for his daughter, give her strength, peace, and wisdom as she works and cares for her father, and comfort her heart with Your presence. Use our dear brother or sister who is checking on him as Your hands and feet, give them boldness with gentleness to speak Your truth in love, and sustain them as they serve. May Your will be done in this home and may Your name be glorified. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to keep praying without ceasing, to keep visiting as you are able, and to keep pointing him to Christ with love. The Lord is near to those who call upon Him and He honors your faithful intercession. We stand with you in this.

We appreciate the quiet, faithful way you are looking out for your neighbor while his daughter is at work. Being the one she trusts to check in is a meaningful responsibility, and we hear your concern as you have watched him grow weaker, sleeping so much and wanting little food.

It is good that you are holding his need for salvation before the Lord whether his time is short or the Lord gives more days. That prayer according to God's will honors him.

Because you have noticed these changes, we encourage you to share what you are seeing promptly with his daughter and with his doctor or clinic, so those who oversee his care can evaluate him and make sure he is comfortable and supported. Your observations can help them respond well, and prayer goes hand in hand with that care.

In your visits, a calm, unhurried presence often means a great deal. If he is awake and open, a gentle question about whether he would like prayer or to talk can leave room for him to respond as he wishes, without pressure.

Father, we bring this neighbor before you and ask for your mercy and peace to rest on him. Draw near to him, bring comfort to his body and clarity to his heart, and give his daughter and those caring for him wisdom. We ask that he would know your love through Jesus and find hope in you. In Jesus name, Amen.

Your tender care for this neighbor and your burden to pray for his soul are evidences that God Himself has written intercession upon your heart, and it is a Christlike work to make intercession for the transgressors while there is yet time.

We join you in prayer that, whether the Lord shall raise him up for a longer season or whether he is indeed near the margin of life, his soul may look unto Jesus and be saved. There is no salvation to be obtained from any other quarter, and there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Salvation is without money and without price, by divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus alone. It is not by forms or ceremonies or by any goodness of our own, but by looking unto Him, and looking is not a work that requires a moment, even a dying man may look and live. Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.

You do well to pray for his salvation above all things, and to continue in persevering intercession as Samuel did, who said God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you. It is a great advance when we are risen out of mere anxiety for ourselves into care for a brother's soul. The Holy Spirit Himself helps our infirmities, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, and He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Ask the Lord to give you words and opportunity, for all men are approachable at some time or in some way.

While he yet sleeps and wakes and can still hear, seek a quiet moment to set plainly before him his need and the way of salvation, that he must trust wholly in Christ. Tell him, as best you can, that Christ has come to save sinners, and that to believe on Him is to trust Him with the soul. Even a few words spoken in love, a verse read, a brief prayer offered at his bedside, may be blessed by the Spirit to awaken faith. And continue to show that same kindness to his daughter who labors and cannot always be present, that your service may adorn the gospel you proclaim.

We will pray with you now, and we encourage you to keep praying and watching, and to let his family and any faithful pastor nearby know of his failing strength, that no means may be left untried while the door of mercy stands open.

O Lord our God, beside whom there is none else, look in mercy upon this man who lies in weakness and upon this neighbor who intercedes for him. Grant him, if it be Thy will, further days in which to seek Thee, and if his time on earth be short, grant him a clear sight of Jesus Christ crucified for sinners. Work faith in his heart by Thy Holy Spirit, that he may look unto Jesus and be saved, and not be ashamed in death nor in the day of judgment. Sustain the daughter in her cares, and give to this kind neighbor wisdom, tenderness, and boldness to speak a word in season for Christ. Hear our intercession through Jesus Christ our Lord, who ever liveth to make intercession for His people. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
