We are so sorry to hear about the pain you have endured and we lift you up together before the Father seeking His healing and restoration for you in Jesus' name. The Lord sees what you have been through and He does not take lightly the harm done to you, for His Word shows us that true love is patient and is kind, does not act improperly, and does not seek its own way, as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Psychological abuse is contrary to that love and is sinful, and we rebuke that abuse and the lies and manipulation that were used against you, for God never intended for you to be demeaned, controlled, or broken down in a romantic relationship.

We want to gently share with you that God's beautiful design for romantic love is courtship with the goal of marriage between a man and a woman who are both believers in Christ, a lifelong covenant that honors Him. Being a boyfriend or girlfriend should be understood as courtship toward that holy commitment, not casual involvement, and any sexual intimacy outside of that marriage covenant is fornication which God calls us to flee from as taught in 1 Corinthians 6:18. We do not know all the details of your situation and we speak this not to condemn you but to point you toward God's perfect plan for your future, where a godly spouse will love you as Christ loves the church with selflessness, protection, and tenderness. If there was impurity in that past involvement, we encourage you to bring it to the Lord in confession and receive His complete forgiveness and cleansing.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him, and in Acts 4:12 we are told there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. To be healed fully we need to be reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and trusting Him alone as Lord and Savior. If you have not yet placed your full trust in Him, we encourage you to do so today and to call upon His name.

We pray together for your healing now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and lift up this dear one who has been wounded by psychological abuse. Lord, You are near to those who have a broken heart and You save those who have a crushed spirit as promised in Psalm 34:18, and You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds as declared in Psalm 147:3. We ask You to heal the deep wounds in the mind and heart, to silence every lie that was spoken over this life, and to replace those lies with Your truth about who we are in Christ. Renew the mind and restore a sense of worth and peace that comes from being Your beloved child. We pray You will break any trauma bonds, fear, shame, or confusion that lingers, and fill this heart with Your perfect love which casts out fear. Help this dear one to forgive as You have forgiven us in Ephesians 4:32, not to excuse the abuse or to require returning to harm, but to release bitterness and walk in freedom. Surround this life with wise and godly counsel, a caring church family, and safe community, and give discernment for healthy boundaries going forward. We pray in Isaiah 41:10 that You will strengthen and uphold with Your righteous right hand, and that You will restore health and healing as You promise in Jeremiah 30:17. Lead in the future to a godly marriage if it is Your will, with a believing spouse who will honor and cherish according to Your design. We thank You that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose in Romans 8:28, and we trust You to bring beauty from these ashes.

We encourage you to remain separated from that abusive person and to not return to that harm, to seek safe and trusted pastoral and biblical counseling, and to immerse yourself daily in Scripture to renew your thoughts with what God says is true about you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made in Psalm 139:14, you are deeply loved, and you are not what that abuse tried to make you believe. Guard your heart, seek fellowship with other believers, and allow the Lord time to do His deep healing work, for He is the Father of mercies and God of all comfort who comforts us in all our affliction in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. We will continue to pray that you experience His complete restoration, peace that passes understanding, and hope for the good plans He has for you.

We are so sorry for what you have been through. Being in a psychologically abusive relationship can leave wounds that are hard for others to see but very real to live with. It can whittle away at your sense of worth and confidence, and leave you feeling powerless or on edge long after the relationship has ended. It makes sense that healing would take time.

We are praying for your healing and for steady, safe support around you as you recover. Emotional hurt often heals gradually, in layers, and not alone. One gentle next step many find helpful is to talk with one safe person who understands abuse well, like a trusted counselor, pastor, or support advocate, alongside prayer. If you notice ongoing anxiety, trouble sleeping, intrusive memories, or feeling unsafe, please consider reaching out to a counselor or medical professional in your area for care, we will keep praying for wisdom and protection as you do.

Father, we lift this dear one to You in Jesus name. You see the pain that others could not see and You know every hurt that was spoken and done. We ask for Your protection, for peace day by day, for wise and kind helpers to come alongside, and for healing that restores dignity and hope. Lead with gentleness and keep this heart safe in Your care. In Jesus name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your sorrow has been brought before the Lord with tender care, and we have carried your request to the throne of grace seeking healing for the wounds left by this painful and abusive involvement.

We do not take lightly the hurt that psychological abuse inflicts upon the heart and mind. Such wounds go deep, and they urge the soul to seek the true Physician. There is a balm, there is a Physician who can heal these inward wounds, who can give joy to the troubled countenance and calm the heart now swelling with grief, for He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds.

We are reminded that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ has healing virtue in it. There is not a word that ever fell from His dear lips but what bears healing in it for some one or other of the thousand ills that have befallen our humanity. Even His least words are better than the best of others, and this medicine is appointed for the very purpose of healing. As sacred influence descends from our Lord Jesus in Heaven down to the sons of men, abundant streams of healing flow down to those below who look to Him.

We have prayed for you that the Lord Jesus Christ Himself would take you by the hand and lift you up, that He would establish that blessed contact with your soul by which healing comes. We have asked that He would breathe into your soul at this very moment a peace with God which passes all understanding, and that He would make your affliction to become a healing draught in His hands. We have prayed that you would know that all condemnation is gone for those who are in Christ, and that you would be preserved from all evil, for the Lord shall preserve your soul and keep you from the devices of the evil one.

We pray that the Lord will restore what has been bruised and broken, that He will purge every evil effect of what you have endured, that He will renew your mind by His Word and give you quietness and strength. We pray that He will surround you with wise and godly counsel, with faithful friends and shepherds in His church who will walk with you patiently toward wholeness, and that He will guard your steps and keep you in purity and uprightness in the days to come.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord in His Word and in prayer, to hear the Gospel faithfully taught where Christ is lifted up, for healing is conspicuously present when Christ is teaching, and to lean upon trusted pastoral care and, where needed, wise Christian counsel for your ongoing healing and safety. If you are in danger or in need of protection, please seek help at once from those near you who can care for you well.

We will continue to pray that you will know yourself fully forgiven, fully healed, and fully kept by Him who alone is able to make the broken whole. May the Lord bless you and cause His healing leaves to fall upon you until your heart is made whole again in Him.
