Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for inviting prayer with you. Your desire for God to be glorified and for His power to be seen is good, and it is right to bring these longings to Him with thanksgiving in the name of Jesus Christ.
You mentioned principalities and powers of darkness in high places, and Scripture teaches that this is true. Our real struggle is not against flesh and blood, against people or circumstances we can see, but against spiritual forces of wickedness in the unseen realm. There is a real conflict going on between good and evil, between angels who serve God and those who rebelled with Satan, and often we feel the pressure or unsettled effects of that conflict without understanding why. For that kind of battle we need spiritual weapons, because natural weapons will not help. God has given us what we need, His Word, faith, and prayer. The battle is so often for the mind, and it is through trusting what God has said and bringing everything to Him in prayer that we stand and overcome. Prayer is often the deciding factor in that spiritual battle, so it is good that you are asking others to pray with you and to persevere in prayer.
You also asked for miracles that seem impossible and unheard of. God is certainly able to do what is impossible for us. With man it is impossible to save himself or to solve many of the problems we face, but when God is brought into the situation the word impossible no longer applies. There is nothing too hard for Him, and He has done again and again what we thought could never happen. At the same time, faith that rests only on seeing spectacular miracles is not the kind of faith on which Jesus builds our lives. Many believed when they saw His miracles, but He did not entrust Himself to a faith that was based only on the spectacular. Our faith needs to be grounded in His Word. That does not mean God lacks power or willingness to work powerfully. It means He often chooses a more excellent way, to bring us into love and true fellowship with Himself and with one another, and to make us complete in Christ.
Jesus is the head over all principalities and powers. At the cross He disarmed those powers of darkness and triumphed over them, so that nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. Because you are complete in Him, you do not need to fear those spiritual forces. You can stand in what He has already accomplished.
So we join you in prayer, asking the Father to show His glory in your life and in the world in the way He knows is best, to grant favor according to His wisdom, to strengthen your faith through His Word, and to help you stand firm against every spiritual attack through prayer and trust in Christ. May He guard your mind and heart, increase your confidence in His ability to do what man cannot do, and lead you deeper into fellowship with Jesus, which is the greatest blessing of all.
