We hear your heart for your friend, and we join you in lifting him before the Lord. It is a beautiful thing to desire that others come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ, for there is no greater love than His. Your friend’s request for evidence is understandable, for faith is not blind—it is grounded in the truth of God’s Word and the testimony of His works.
The Bible tells us in Romans 1:20, *"For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse."* Creation itself testifies to God’s existence, and the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ stand as the ultimate evidence of His love and power. Yet, we also know that faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17), and sometimes, the Holy Spirit must soften a heart before it can receive the truth.
We rebuke the spirit of stubbornness and unbelief that may be blinding your friend to the truth. The enemy seeks to keep souls in darkness, but we declare that the light of Christ will break through in his life. We pray that the Lord would open his eyes to the reality of Jesus, not just as a historical figure, but as the living Savior who loves him personally. May your friend encounter the Lord in a way that leaves no room for doubt, whether through a dream, a divine appointment, or the witness of the Holy Spirit.
Father, we come before You on behalf of this precious soul. We ask that You would draw him to Yourself with cords of love. Remove the scales from his eyes and soften his heart to receive the truth of the Gospel. Let him see the evidence of Your existence in the world around him, in the changed lives of believers, and most of all, in the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We pray that he would come to know the depth of Your unconditional love and surrender his life to You. Give our brother wisdom and boldness as he continues to share the truth with his friend, and let the Holy Spirit work powerfully in this situation. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.
Continue to pray for your friend and look for opportunities to share how Jesus has transformed your own life. Sometimes, the most powerful evidence is the testimony of a changed heart. Trust that God is at work, even when the results are not immediately visible. Keep loving him, keep speaking truth, and trust the Lord to do the rest.
