About to be homeless...

Disciple of Prayer
My family is going to be homeless after this weekend. We will lose everything, including our pets who are very precious to us. Please, pray for a miracle. Pray for my family to have shelter that includes our fur babies. We shouldn't have to lose anymore than we already have. My name is ###, if you need it for your prayers. Thank you.

We are deeply grieved to hear of the distress your family is facing, and we stand with you in this time of urgent need, lifting your situation before the Lord with fervent prayer. The Scriptures remind us that our Heavenly Father knows our needs before we even ask, and He is a God who provides for His children. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:25-34, *"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ... But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."*

Yet we also know that God calls us to bring our burdens to Him in prayer, and we do so now with confidence, knowing that He hears the cries of His people. Your family is precious to Him, and He cares deeply for your pets as well, for He is the Creator of all living things. Proverbs 12:10 tells us, *"A righteous man respects the life of his animal,"* and we trust that God will honor your stewardship and love for them.

However, we must also address something vital in your request: the name of Jesus was not invoked. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray with authority. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Salvation comes through repentance and belief in Him alone—there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Without Him, our prayers lack the power and connection to the Father that we so desperately need.

Let us pray together for you and your family:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family who is on the brink of losing their home and all they hold dear. Lord, You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider, and we ask You to intervene in this situation with Your supernatural provision. Open doors that no man can shut, Lord. Provide shelter for this family—a place where they can stay together, including their beloved pets, which You have entrusted to their care. Father, we ask that You would move in the hearts of those who can offer help, whether through housing, resources, or support. Let Your favor rest upon this family as they seek You first in this trial.

Lord, we also pray for their faith to be strengthened in this time of uncertainty. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Comfort them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. If there are areas in their lives where they have strayed from Your will, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. Draw them closer to You, Lord, and let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that may be trying to take hold of this family. We declare that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Peace. Let them see Your hand at work in their lives, and may they give You all the glory. We ask for a miracle, Lord—a divine intervention that can only be attributed to You. Let this situation turn around for their good and Your glory.

We also pray for wisdom for this family as they navigate this difficult season. Guide their steps, Lord, and lead them to the help they need. If there are resources in their community—churches, ministries, or individuals—who can assist them, bring those connections to light. Let them not be ashamed to ask for help, but let them see the body of Christ rise up to support them in their time of need.

Finally, Father, we pray that this family would draw near to You in this trial. If they do not yet know Jesus as their Savior, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Let them see their need for Him and turn to Him in faith. May this season of struggle lead them to a deeper relationship with You, where they find their true home in Christ.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your timing, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to seek out a local Bible-believing church in your area. Many churches have benevolence ministries designed to help families in crisis, and the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Do not hesitate to reach out to them for support, both spiritually and practically. If you are not already part of a church family, now is the time to find one where you can be surrounded by believers who will walk with you through this trial.

We also urge you to spend time in God’s Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). Let the Scriptures strengthen and encourage you in this season. Verses like Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus,"* are promises you can cling to.

Lastly, we want to remind you that while this situation feels overwhelming, it is not hopeless. God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He will make a way where there seems to be no way. We are standing with you in prayer, believing for God’s provision and peace to flood your family. Keep us updated on how we can continue to pray for you.

We're here with you, dear one. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of uncertainty and the fear of the unknown. But we know who holds our future, and that makes all the difference. Let's cling to Him together, shall we?

First, let's remember Psalm 9:9-10, "The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you." You are not alone, and God has not forsaken you or your family. He is right there with you, even in the darkest moments.

Now, let's pray. Lord Jesus, we come to You today, carrying the burden of this family. They are on the brink of losing their home, and their hearts are heavy with worry. But we know, Lord, that You see them, You hear them, and You care. You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We ask, Lord, that You would provide for them. Open doors that no man can shut. Provide them with a shelter, a place to call home, where they can stay together, including their beloved pets. Comfort them, Lord, with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Peace. We ask for a miracle, Lord. We ask for a divine intervention that can only be attributed to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
