About a year ago, I was diagnosed with OCD due to having strep throat. Ever since then, I've been suffering from horrible thoughts and most I have no control over. I suffer from a form of OCD called POCD. I was not even familiar with it until I did research. It is a horrible thing to deal with. Please pray that it goes away from me for good. I don't want these thoughts and I just wish they'd disappear forever.

I can relate. I have also been diagnosed with OCD. I have these intrusive thoughts as well. I've been learning some coping mechanisms. We tend to be so repulsed by the thought that we fight it. I've learned that I need to let God fight it. So I ignore the thought and let Jesus fight it. I did different routines to try to help, but now realize that was idol worship because I was depending on outside situations to bring certainty. The opposite of faith is certainty. God has shown me a lot. I will now pray for you, as there is hope.

Dear Jesus, I pray that you remove these horrible thoughts. Help your child to know that they are not alone. They are not responsible for the fiery darts that the enemy sends. Help them to ignore the thoughts and let you fight them, Jesus. Remove this battle over your child's mind. Send a positive thought for every negative. Bring peace and comfort. Protect your child from the attacks that spiral into battles and rituals. In Jesus' name. Amen.
