About A Meeting

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray that the meeting with my family that I have to go to on Monday goes fine and that no one gets harmed before, during or after this meeting. In the past these meetings have caused me to be greatly harmed and only by the grace of God did I recover from that but it took a lot of time and I lost a lot of my personal items because of that harm that happened to me.

We join with you in prayer for this meeting on Monday and we understand why you are feeling anxious given the harm you experienced in the past. We thank God for His grace that brought you through that difficult time and carried you to recovery, even though it took much time and cost you many personal items. The Lord sees what you have endured and He is near to you now.

We are reminded of His promise to be our refuge and protector, He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways Psalm 91:11. We also cling to the word that says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. We take comfort that God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and that He says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We pray together for you now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the history of these family meetings and the great harm that was done before. We thank You for sustaining and restoring this person by Your grace. Now we ask for Your hand of protection to be upon them before, during, and after this meeting on Monday. Let no harm come to them or to anyone there, physically, emotionally, or spiritually. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Give them wisdom to know what to say and when to be silent, give them courage and discernment, and give all who attend a spirit of calmness and self-control. If there are unsafe dynamics, we ask You to make a way of escape and to surround them with Your angels. We ask that You redeem what was lost and bring healing where there are still wounds from the past. Let this meeting be under Your sovereign control and let Your will be done. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We want to gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to encourage you in this because it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And scripture also says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Him.

As you prepare for Monday, we encourage you to commit the meeting to the Lord in prayer beforehand, to ask for wisdom, and if possible to have a trusted Christian friend or counselor aware of where you will be and praying for you during that time. Set clear and godly boundaries, speak the truth in love, and remember that the Lord is your strength and your shield. We trust that He who has kept you before will keep you again, and that He will work all things together for good for those who love Him. We continue to stand with you in prayer for safety, peace, and a meeting that goes according to His perfect will.

We hear how heavy Monday feels for you, especially carrying what happened in the past. Being harmed after those meetings before, needing a long time to recover and losing personal items you valued, would make anyone feel on edge about going again. It makes sense you are asking for protection before, during and after.

As you get ready, it may help to make a simple safety plan with someone you trust. You could let a trusted friend or pastor know where and when the meeting will be and when you expect to be home, and ask them to check in with you right after. If you have a choice, meeting in a more public or neutral place can help, and thinking ahead about how you will step out or leave if you begin to feel unsafe gives you an option in the moment. Keeping important documents and personal items secured beforehand may also bring a little more peace of mind. Try to plan something steadying for right after, like time with a safe person or a quiet place to rest, so you are not carrying it alone.

We are holding you in prayer.

Jesus, we bring our friend to You as this meeting approaches. Please be near and keep them safe before, during and after. Give them clear wisdom, calm, and a safe way through, and let them know You are with them. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your request concerning the meeting with your family on Monday has been heard, and we have carried it before the Lord with sincere prayer for your keeping and peace. We understand the weight you feel, for you have known these gatherings to be the occasion of great harm in the past, and only by the grace of God did you recover, though recovery was slow and accompanied by the loss of many personal things. Such a trial leaves a deep mark, and it is right to seek the Lord's protection before, during and after this time.

We are reminded that we are all in danger of falling, not only the weak but also the strong, and we constantly need to cry to God to keep us from falling, remembering what a dreadful thing it would be to fall. You need an infinite Friend to keep you in safety against all the machinations of adversaries. Our safety lies in our Savior, the only wise God our Savior, who is able to keep us from falling and to present us faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. It is a grand thing to feel that God's throne might sooner fail than that a saint should perish, for His throne itself is established in righteousness.

We take comfort also in the promise that He shall give His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways. This protection is both personal and perpetual. He who travels on the King's highway is under the King's protection, but he who takes to byroads must protect himself. The way of principle is the way of safety, and God's angels will keep you if you keep to that road, and the way of consecrated service for God's glory is another of these safe ways. As for the truths of God which He has taught you by His own Spirit, grapple them to you as with hooks of steel.

Wonder not if recovery should be slow, and as you grow a little stronger and a little stronger acknowledge in each increase of strength that the Lord has a new claim on your affection. He who remembered Joseph in the dungeon, Israel in Egypt, Hannah in the family of Elkanah, and David when others passed him by, is the same God who exalts the low tree and is able to restore and to strengthen you by His own power.

Let us pray with you now. O Lord our God, our only wise Savior, who art able to keep us from falling, we commend this our friend to Thy gracious keeping. Keep this one in safety before, during and after the meeting on Monday. Let no harm come near, to body or soul or goods. Give wisdom in speech and silence, calmness of spirit, and a guard upon all present that peace may prevail. Where there has been harm before, grant healing and a steady recovery, and let each measure of renewed strength be consecrated to Thee. Give Thy angels charge in all appointed ways, and keep this life under the shadow of Thy wing. Grant that whatever is spoken and done may be ordered in truth and righteousness, and bring this one through the trial faultless in Thy sight, with a grateful heart to praise Thee. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our safety and our hope. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request and we are praying with you for this meeting on Monday.

We understand that these family meetings have brought you great harm in the past, that it took much time to recover by the grace of God, and that you lost many personal things because of it. It is right to bring this fear before the Lord, for He is a stronghold to those who fear Him and He keeps His people in safety. Even when others intend harm, God is able to guard and to bring good out of what was meant for evil, as He did for Joseph, and He is able to keep you now.

We pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father:

Heavenly Father, we ask for Your protection over this meeting. Keep this dear one safe before, during and after it. Let no harm come to them or to anyone there. Grant peace in the room, wisdom in words, and restraint where there has been hurt before. Guard their heart and body, and guard what belongs to them. Heal what was wounded in the past and give strength for what lies ahead. Give them clarity to know what to say and when to be silent, and surround them with Your presence so that fear does not rule. If it is Your will, bring reconciliation and understanding to the family, but above all keep everyone safe and let Your will be done.

We also encourage you to seek wisdom for practical safety as you go, such as letting a trusted pastor or friend know where you will be, keeping clear boundaries, and having a plan to step away if needed. The Lord calls us to bear trials with courage while also acting with prudence, trusting Him as the One who sees what is invisible and is with us.

May the Lord grant you confidence not from yourself but from Him, and may you know His peace that guards heart and mind in Christ. We will continue to pray that you are kept in perfect safety and that this meeting may pass without harm.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden so honestly. I am praying with you for protection before, during and after this family meeting, and I grieve the harm you suffered in the past and the long road of recovery and the loss of personal things you endured. It is by the grace of God that you have come through that, and He sees what you have carried.

I want to pray that the Lord will be your confidence and keep you in His care. Scripture reminds us that even when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death we need not fear evil, for He is with us. The answer to fear is always the conscious presence of God. He is with you, and that presence is what quiets fear. Fear grows when we forget the Lord and fix our eyes only on outward circumstances. When that happens our hearts can become cast down and troubled, and fear can even magnify the danger beyond what is real.

The Bible teaches that fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time. Where one is allowed to take over, the other departs. The enemy often tries to use fear to move us to make wrong decisions, to react quickly out of panic rather than to walk wisely. So I am praying that God will give you a steady faith and a clear mind, that you will be able to take whatever steps are wise and prudent without being driven by fear. Like Nehemiah, who would not hide himself away out of fear but trusted that if God wanted to protect him, God could protect him wherever he was, you can trust the Lord to be your defense as you remain close to Him and abide in Christ.

I am also praying for your family. God gave His ways for the family to build it up and to make relationships whole. The things He tells us to do strengthen a family, and the things He tells us not to do are the things that tear it apart. True wisdom begins with a reverent awe of God, a desire to love what He loves and to hate what He hates, including pride and the ways that harm others. That holy fear of the Lord is not a cowering dread, but a deep respect for who He is, His greatness and His power, and it is the beginning and the sum of real knowledge and wisdom. When we fear Him in that way, we do not need to fear people. The fear of people brings a snare, but whoever puts trust in the Lord is kept safe, and His care surrounds those who reverence Him.

May the Lord guard you and all who will be present, give you peace that is rooted in faith rather than fear, and give you wisdom to act calmly and safely. May He heal what has been wounded in the past and keep you from further harm, and may He be near to you in a very real way so that you know you are not alone. I am asking Him to grant protection, clear judgment, and a quiet confidence in His presence through this whole meeting.
