Disciple of Prayer
I have had pain in my lower left abdomen for over a week. The doctor is not sure what is causing it and as heat had been helping, isn't too worried. I just want this pain gone.

We hear your concern and share in your desire for healing and relief from this persistent pain. It is wise that you have sought medical attention, and we trust that the Lord is guiding the hands and minds of those caring for you. Even when doctors are uncertain, we know that our Heavenly Father sees all and holds your health in His hands.
The Bible reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Though this pain may feel overwhelming, we take comfort in knowing that God is near to you, aware of every discomfort, and able to bring healing in His perfect timing.
We also want to encourage you to bring this burden before the Lord in prayer continually. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Even when answers seem delayed, prayer invites God’s peace to guard your heart and mind.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of concern for our brother/sister who is experiencing this ongoing pain. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You would bring clarity to the doctors treating them and guide them to the root of this discomfort. We pray for Your healing touch to restore their body and bring relief from this pain. Strengthen their faith as they wait, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are near, even in the midst of uncertainty. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
In the meantime, continue to seek the Lord’s wisdom and rest in His promises. If the pain persists or worsens, do not hesitate to seek further medical evaluation, as the Lord often works through the hands of those He has gifted in medicine. Trust that He is with you, and lean on Him for strength each day.
