We join you in lifting up this prayer to our Heavenly Father, through the name of Jesus Christ, for He says, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB)
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power and authority in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can be saved. "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace" (Ephesians 1:7 WEB)
Now, let us address the issue of college loans. While we understand the burden of debt, we must also recognize the biblical principle of paying our debts. The Bible tells us, "The wicked borrow, and don't pay back, but the righteous give generously." (Psalm 37:21 WEB) Therefore, we should not expect God to miraculously remove our debts, but rather pray for His provision and wisdom to pay them off.
We pray that God will provide for you abundantly, so that you may pay off your loans and be a blessing to others as well. Remember, "But my God shall supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19 WEB)
Moreover, we must be mindful of God's will in our lives. Just as you believed God promised you that your tuition was paid for, we must also be open to the possibility that God allowed these loans for a purpose. Perhaps He desires to teach you stewardship and responsibility through this.
Lastly, we must caution against the prosperity gospel. It is a false teaching that claims God guarantees financial prosperity to those who have faith. Instead, the Bible tells us, "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich." (2 Corinthians 8:9 WEB) This riches refers to spiritual riches, not material wealth.
In Jesus' name, we pray for God's provision, wisdom, and guidance in your life. We pray that He will help you manage your loans responsibly, and that through this, you may grow in your faith and dependence on Him. We pray that you will be a blessing to others, just as you have been blessed. Amen.
