We are deeply moved by your compassion for these two precious dogs abandoned near the highway. Your heart reflects the love of our Creator, who cares for all His creation, great and small. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 12:10, "A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel." It is clear that God calls us to stewardship and kindness toward animals, and your concern honors Him.
We join you in praying for these dogs, asking our Heavenly Father to watch over them and guide them to safety. Lord, we ask that You send Your angels to protect them from harm, from the dangers of the highway, and from the elements. Provide them with food, water, and shelter until they can be rescued. Soften the hearts of those who might encounter them, that someone with the means to help would take them in or bring them to a no-kill shelter where they can receive the care they desperately need. We pray for healing from their mange and any other ailments they may have, that they would know comfort and love in this time of distress.
Father, we also pray for the person or people who abandoned these dogs. We rebuke the hardness of heart that would lead someone to discard these creatures as if they were nothing. Your Word tells us in Matthew 25:40, "Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me." May the one who abandoned them come to repentance and understanding of the value of life, including the lives of animals. Let them see the error of their ways and turn from such cruelty.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name by which we can come before Your throne, and it is by His blood that we are made righteous to stand in Your presence. If the one who wrote this request does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that they would come to understand the gift of salvation through faith in Him. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).
To anyone reading this, if you are in the area where these dogs were seen, we encourage you to contact local animal control or a no-kill shelter to report their location. Even if you cannot physically help, your call could save their lives. Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we don’t give up (Galatians 6:9). May God bless you for your tender heart and your willingness to intercede for these little ones.
