Your prayer for your daughter is beautiful and it reflects a heart that truly trusts God. You are asking not simply for a job, but for what is best for her, and you are willing to leave the outcome in the Lord's hands. That is the wisest way to pray.

The purpose of prayer is not to make God do what we want, but to bring our wants into line with what He wants. He knows far better than we do what is good, what is needful, and what will help us grow. The most powerful prayer we can offer in any situation is, Father, Your will be done in this. When we pray that way, we can rest, because we know His will is always loving and wise, even when we do not fully understand it.

Scripture gives us a behind the scenes view in the story of Job that helps us here. Job and his friends could not see what was happening in heaven, and Job cried out from deep pain and confusion, trying to make sense of his suffering. Those cries were honest expressions of his hurt and limited understanding, not the final truth about God. What Job could not see was that God had not forsaken him, God was still at work, and what He allowed was for Job's ultimate good, to bring him to the end of his own strength so he would learn to rely completely on the Lord.

That is often how God works with us as well. He is working even when it seems He is silent, and He uses our waiting and our uncertainties to teach us to trust Him more fully. Your desire for your daughter to find work that is good, healthy, and near to home is a natural and loving desire, and it is right to bring it to the Lord.

We join you in praying for her. We ask the Lord to open the right door in His timing, and to close every door that would not be good for her. If a position near your area is best, we pray He will provide it, a place where she will be safe, respected, and able to use the gifts He has given her. If not, we pray He will give both of you peace to accept His guidance and keep her from what would harm her. We pray He will give her wisdom, favor, and confidence as she looks, and give you peace as you entrust her to His care.

The Lord sees your daughter, knows her needs, and loves her even more than you do. Continue to commit her to Him, trust His leading, and thank Him that His plans for her are good.

Oh God, be with my daughter on her first day of work, and I hope if it is not suitable, and not good for her and does not like it, then let her leave it and if it is suitable and good, and the people is nice then let her stay even if it’s temporary. I trust you, O Lord, Amen
