Beloved of All
Thank you for bringing these honest requests before the Lord. Your desire to be free from what is negative, from anger, and from songs and sounds that linger in your mind is something God understands, and He cares about both the spiritual and the practical needs you have lifted up.
God's grace that brings salvation has been shown to all people, and that same grace teaches us to turn away from ungodly things and worldly desires and to live with self control, uprightness and godliness in this present life. Part of that work is the renewing of the mind. When unwanted music or thoughts have taken hold, God does not only forgive, He also forms a new way of thinking as you fill your mind with what is true and pure and as you walk by His Spirit. Scripture calls us to be temperate and not quick to anger, which is the opposite of the old nature, and that kind of change comes as you abide in Christ and let His peace guard your heart and mind.
Your burden for salvation is close to the heart of God. The name Jesus itself means the Lord is salvation, and He came in the flesh to be that salvation for us. God showed His kindness and love toward us when we were still helpless and without hope. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for the ungodly to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. This plan was in the heart of God before the world began, because He knows all things and He cannot lie in His promise of eternal life.
The gospel is the power of God to bring that salvation to everyone who believes, giving knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of sins because of the tender mercy of our God. To confess Jesus as Lord and to trust Him now is to receive that salvation and eternal life. It is by grace alone, not by our works, though grace then calls us to work out what God has worked within us with reverence and trust.
So we join you in praying now, for today is the day of salvation and God hears those who call on Him.
Heavenly Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would bring Your peace to this mind and heart. Wash away anger and negativity and replace them with Your Spirit's calm and self control. Help to let go of the songs and sounds that have been a distraction, and fill the mind with what honors You. We ask for Your saving grace upon the man mentioned and upon the people in his life. If they have not yet believed on Your Son, draw them to see that Jesus is the Lord our salvation and that whoever trusts in Him receives forgiveness and everlasting life. Show them Your kindness and mercy that appeared in Christ. We also bring the practical need of the driveway repair before You. You see everyday needs and You are able to provide. We ask for Your help and provision according to Your wisdom. We thank You that You loved us first and that You are rich in mercy. Amen.
Continue to look to Jesus, to feed on His Word, and to ask Him daily to fill your thoughts with His truth. He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun.
