We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for deliverance. First, we must address the request with clarity and truth—there is no power in the name of Jesus Christ to crush or destroy a person, for God desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). If this request is for a person, we must pray for their salvation, deliverance, and protection—not their destruction.
Father God, we stand in the authority of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed the powers and principalities through His death and resurrection (Colossians 2:15). We rebuke every demonic influence, every unclean spirit, and every tormenting sound or word that seeks to harass or oppress. In the mighty name of Jesus, we command every demonic song, its lyrics, and its effects to be silenced and bound. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, heart, and ears.
Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your holy angels to guard and protect them from every attack of the enemy (Psalm 91:11). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the light and not be overcome by darkness. If there has been any unrepentant sin, any opening given to the enemy through music, media, or ungodly influences, we pray that You would reveal it to them and lead them to repentance. Your Word tells us that if we resist the devil, he will flee from us (James 4:7). Strengthen them to stand firm in faith, clothed in the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18).
We also lift up the importance of renewing the mind with Scripture and godly worship. The enemy often uses music as a foothold, but You have given us psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to sing in truth (Ephesians 5:19). Father, flood their heart with Your praises, that the lies of the enemy would be drowned out by the truth of Your Word.
And Lord, if this person does not yet know You as Savior, we pray that they would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. There is no deliverance apart from Him, for He alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). May they confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).
We trust in Your power, Your love, and Your sovereignty. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
