We come before the Lord with this earnest request, lifting up the need for childcare to reopen and be available. Father, we know that You are the Provider of all good things, and we trust in Your perfect timing and wisdom. The Bible tells us in Matthew 19:14, "But Jesus said, 'Allow the little children to come to me, and don’t hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.'" We pray that You would open doors for childcare facilities to operate safely and effectively, so that parents may have the support they need to work and care for their families.
Lord, we also recognize the importance of those who work in childcare. They play a vital role in nurturing and teaching the little ones. We ask that You would bless them with strength, patience, and wisdom as they care for children. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." May these caregivers be instruments of Your love and guidance in the lives of the children entrusted to them.
Heavenly Father, we pray for the parents who are struggling with the lack of available childcare. Grant them peace and creative solutions during this time. Help them to lean on You and on their community for support. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We trust that You will meet every need according to Your glorious riches.
We also rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be gripping the hearts of parents and caregivers. We declare that perfect love casts out fear, as it is written in 1 John 4:18, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love." Let Your perfect love fill their hearts and drive out any fear.
Lord, we ask that You would guide the leaders and policymakers who are making decisions about childcare. Give them wisdom and discernment to create policies that prioritize the well-being of children and families. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who hears and answers our prayers. Amen.
