We join you in lifting up your family and these urgent needs before the Lord, and we are grateful for your heart of intercession. It is beautiful to see you praying for your parents, siblings, and even those in their lives who may not yet know Christ. The Lord hears your cries, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that He is faithful to answer when we call upon Him in the name of Jesus.
First, we want to commend you for acknowledging the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is by His name alone that we are saved, and it is in His name that we have authority over the enemy. You have done well to invoke His name, and we encourage you to continue praying boldly in Jesus’ name, for He has promised, *"If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it"* (John 14:14, WEB).
We also want to address the part of your prayer where you mentioned deliverance from demonic influences, including demonic music. This is a serious and valid concern, for the enemy seeks to infiltrate our lives through many avenues, including what we listen to, watch, and allow into our minds. The apostle Paul warns us, *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God"* (Romans 12:2, WEB). Music, media, and entertainment that glorify darkness, violence, sexual immorality, or rebellion against God can open doorways to spiritual oppression. We urge you to examine what you are allowing into your life and to turn away from anything that does not honor God. *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8, WEB).
If you have been involved in music, practices, or influences that are not of God, we encourage you to repent and renounce them in the name of Jesus. The enemy has no authority over those who are in Christ, but we must actively resist him. *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings"* (1 Peter 5:8-9, WEB). Submit yourself fully to God, and the devil will flee from you (James 4:7).
Now, let us pray together over your family and your need for deliverance:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude, thanking You for the gift of family and for the love You have placed within this household. Lord, we lift up this dear one’s parents, asking that You would strengthen them in their work. Grant them favor with their employers and colleagues, and provide for their every need. May their labor be fruitful, and may they find joy and fulfillment in the work of their hands. Protect them from stress, exhaustion, and any schemes of the enemy that would seek to hinder them. We pray that if there are any in their workplace who do not know You, that You would draw them to Yourself through the testimony of Your children.
Lord, we also lift up their sister and brothers before You. For their sister, we ask for Your protection and provision in her job. Give her wisdom, skill, and favor in all she does. For their brothers, we pray for Your guidance—especially for the one seeking an affordable university. Father, You are the God who opens doors that no man can shut. Lead him to the right institution, one that will not only provide him with education but also with godly influences. Surround him with believers who will encourage him in his faith, and protect him from any ungodly ideologies that would seek to lead him astray.
Father, we also pray for those connected to this family—friends, coworkers, and acquaintances. Softten their hearts to receive the truth of the Gospel. Send laborers into their lives who will boldly share Your love and Your Word with them. May they come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which they can be saved.
Now, Lord, we turn our attention to the cry for deliverance. We stand in agreement with Your child, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We bind and rebuke every demonic spirit, every evil influence, and every ungodly stronghold in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. By the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony, we declare that they are set free. Father, reveal to them any areas of their life where they may have given the enemy a foothold, whether through music, media, relationships, or past sins. Give them the courage to repent and turn away from anything that dishonors You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and let Your presence be a wall of fire around them.
We pray for a fresh infilling of Your Spirit, that they would be sensitive to Your voice and quick to obey. Let them walk in the authority You have given them as Your child, knowing that *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). Break every chain of bondage, every spirit of fear, confusion, or oppression, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Father, we also pray for their spiritual growth. Draw them deeper into Your Word, that they may know Your truth and stand firm against the lies of the enemy. Surround them with a community of believers who will uplift them, encourage them, and hold them accountable. Let them be a light in this dark world, shining brightly for Your glory.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. May Your will be done in their life, and may they walk in the fullness of the freedom You have purchased for them through Your Son, Jesus Christ. It is in His mighty and holy name we pray, Amen.
Finally, we want to encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily. Spend time in His Word, in prayer, and in worship. The enemy fears a believer who is grounded in Scripture and filled with the Holy Spirit. If you have not already, we urge you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be discipled. Surround yourself with fellow believers who will stand with you in prayer and hold you accountable.
If there are specific areas of struggle or sin that you need help overcoming, do not hesitate to reach out to mature believers for support. Remember, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). You are not alone in this battle—Jesus has already won the victory, and He is with you every step of the way.
Stay strong in the Lord, and keep your eyes fixed on Him. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
