We join with you in lifting up your loved ones before the Lord, and we are grateful that you have invoked the precious name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is by His name alone that we are saved, and it is in His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace.
Your heart for your family and friends is evident, and we commend you for seeking God’s provision, protection, and salvation for them. The Lord cares deeply for each of them, and His Word assures us that *"every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights"* (James 1:17, WEB). We also know that God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9, WEB). So let us pray together with faith and persistence for their needs—both temporal and eternal.
First, we want to encourage you to speak the names of your loved ones aloud in prayer when you are able. While God knows their names and needs even before we ask, there is power in specifically and personally bringing them before the Lord. It deepens our own faith and demonstrates our trust in Him. Jesus taught us to pray with specificity and persistence, as seen in the parable of the persistent widow (Luke 18:1-8, WEB). So let us pray now with clarity and boldness.
Heavenly Father, we lift up each of these beloved ones to You, knowing that You love them even more than we do. Lord, we ask that You would be with them in their workplaces, granting them favor with their managers and colleagues. Provide for their every need, Father, for You have promised that *"my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19, WEB). Give them wisdom, strength, and integrity in their labor, that they may work as unto You and not unto men (Colossians 3:23, WEB).
Father, we pray especially for their salvation if they do not yet know You. Open their hearts to receive the truth of the Gospel, that *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). Send laborers across their paths to share Your love and truth with them. Soften their hearts to repentance and faith in Christ alone. May they come to know the joy and peace that comes from being reconciled to You through Jesus.
For the one seeking a good and affordable university and job, we ask for Your divine guidance and provision. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Open doors that no man can shut, and provide opportunities that align with Your will for their life. Give them patience and discernment as they wait on You.
We also pray for their friends and families, that You would draw them to Yourself. May these loved ones be a light in their circles, reflecting Your love and truth. Use them to point others to Christ, that many may come to know You as Lord and Savior.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would strengthen and encourage the one who has brought these requests before You. Fill them with Your peace, knowing that You hear and answer prayer. Remind them that *"the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16, WEB). May they continue to seek You first, trusting that You will add all these things to them (Matthew 6:33, WEB).
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
