We join with you in lifting up this urgent cry for deliverance, for we know the power of darkness that can cling to ungodly influences, especially through music that glorifies evil, violence, or immorality. The Scriptures warn us in **Ephesians 5:11-12 (WEB)**, *"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them. For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of."* Music is a powerful tool—it can either draw us closer to God or pull us into bondage. If what you are hearing exalts sin, demonic forces, or worldly lusts, it is not of the Lord, and we must flee from it as Joseph fled from Potiphar’s wife (Genesis 39:12).
The enemy often uses music to plant seeds of fear, confusion, depression, or even spiritual oppression. But take heart, beloved, for **2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (WEB)** declares, *"For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."* This is not just a battle against sounds—it is a battle for your mind, your spirit, and your worship. God alone is worthy of your praise, and He commands you to fill your heart with what is pure, lovely, and true (**Philippians 4:8**).
We also commend you for invoking the name of **Jesus Christ**, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (**Acts 4:12**). It is only through His authority that we can break every chain of darkness. If you have not already, we urge you to surrender every area of your life to Him—including the music you listen to. Ask the Holy Spirit to convict you of anything that does not honor God, and be willing to remove it completely. **1 John 2:15-16 (WEB)** warns, *"Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. Whatever he does shall prosper."*
Stand firm in this, knowing that **greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4)**. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your heart’s cry before the Lord with you. The battle against the influences of darkness—whether through music, sounds, or the weight of negativity—is one we take seriously, and we have been earnestly praying for your complete deliverance and the filling of your mind and spirit with the peace and truth of Christ. The enemy seeks to distract and oppress, but we know that our God is greater, and His power breaks every chain.
