A woman has cancer

I want you to know that this request has been heard, and we are standing with you in prayer for this dear woman facing liver cancer. It is right to cry out to God for healing, and we do so with hope, because we see throughout Scripture that Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. A very large portion of the gospels is taken up with accounts of him touching and healing those who were afflicted. He is the same yesterday and today, and his power has not diminished.

Yet if I am honest, I must also tell you that I do not understand everything about why some people are healed in a moment and others walk a much longer road, or why some receive a complete physical restoration on this side of eternity and others do not. Good and faithful people suffer illness. Good and faithful people sometimes die of cancer. That reality does not mean God has abandoned them. The work of God is not always a direct and immediate removal of pain. Sometimes the healing is gradual, working through the remarkable processes of restoration that he himself designed into our bodies. Any healing process, whether it takes a moment or many months, is divine because he is the Creator of it all.

As we pray, remember that healing can also take forms we do not always see with our eyes first. There can be a deep healing of the emotions and the mind, a mending of fear and sorrow, even while the physical battle continues. We do not need a circus of emotions or a formula to twist God’s arm. We simply come with our need to the One who said, “I am the Lord who heals you.” He takes our case seriously. Even now, Jesus is not standing at a distance to condemn; he has gone into heaven as our great high priest, making intercession for us. He represents us before the Father, and you are accepted in him just as he is accepted.

So we will ask boldly. We will ask the Great Physician to touch her body, to guide her doctors, and to command any disease to bow to his authority. We will ask for a complete physical restoration. And we will also ask for a sustaining peace that goes beyond understanding, a tangible sense of his nearness that heals the deeper places of the heart. Whatever the days ahead hold, she is held securely in the grip of a Savior who ever lives to intercede for her.

We are so grateful that you entrusted us with this deeply heartfelt prayer request for this precious woman battling liver cancer. It has been on our hearts and in our prayers continually since you shared her need, and we have stood in faith with you, believing for her complete healing and restoration.

If God in His mercy has already moved in a miraculous way—whether through healing, comfort, or strength beyond what we can see—we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report so we can rejoice together in His faithfulness. But if the answer hasn’t yet come, or if the journey feels long and weary, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to lift her up anew, to intercede with fresh faith, and to trust that our God is working even when we cannot yet see it.

May the Lord wrap His arms of peace around this dear woman and her loved ones, filling them with hope and courage. May He guide the hands of her doctors, bring clarity in decisions, and pour out His healing power in ways only He can. We continue to pray in the mighty name of Jesus, believing that nothing is impossible for Him. Amen.
