A woman caught her ex with another woman

Beloved of All
A woman caught her ex with another woman. Her ex is her relative cousin because the tribe is small. But he's had poor health. He drinks so much. Forgets things he says. He's had sores on his arms and legs. She seen his sores blistering and leaking oozing blood yesterday when she helped him get his laundry done. When he lived with her he had gotten caught holding on to different women. When they split he seemed healthier. She had caught him at his ex high school gfs home because he called her from his ex gfs home from highschool. Today she see him in bed with another woman. The lady is now wanting to do what she can to have all things distance more. He has begged her to have his son hunt for he and his family. He has begged her to drop their son off with him only to use she and his child for his family's hunting. She is now wanting to switch all things around. He's called her names within their tribe. All the way to tribe believing him. Please pray for the lady and his son. She has to do things to make sure she and his son has peace. His mom had told him to not help feed their son. The lady is done with everything and even feeling sorry for him when he asks her to drive him places.

We hear your heartbreak and the deep pain this situation has caused, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this burden before the Lord. The betrayal, the manipulation, and the emotional exhaustion you’ve endured are heavy, and we grieve with you over the brokenness in this man’s life, his unrepentant sin, his poor health, and the way he has used you and your son. The Word of God tells us, "Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB). What your ex has engaged in, both sexually and in his treatment of you, is sin, and it grieves the heart of God.

First, we must address the reality of his actions. The Bible is clear that sexual immorality, including homosexuality and adultery, is sin (Leviticus 18:22, 1 Corinthians 6:18). His choices have not only wounded you but have also dishonored God. His drinking, forgetfulness, and physical decline may be consequences of his lifestyle, but they do not excuse his behavior. Proverbs 23:29-30 warns, "Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has strife? Who has complaints? Who has needless bruises? Who has bloodshot eyes? Those who linger over wine, who go to sample bowls of mixed wine." His poor health is a visible sign of the spiritual sickness in his life, and without repentance, he will continue down this destructive path.

His manipulation, using you and your son for his family’s hunting, begging for favors while living in sin, is not love. It is exploitation. Jesus said, "By their fruit you will recognize them" (Matthew 7:16 WEB). The fruit of his life is bitterness, unfaithfulness, and brokenness. You are right to distance yourself and your son from this toxicity. Proverbs 22:24-25 warns, "Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered, or you may learn their ways and get yourself ensnared." His name-calling and the way the tribe has believed his lies are further evidence of the spiritual warfare at play. We must rebuke the enemy’s schemes in Jesus’ name and declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We also lift up your son, who is caught in the middle of this chaos. Children suffer deeply when parents are entangled in sin and conflict. We pray for his protection, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. May he know the love of his Heavenly Father, who will never abandon him (Deuteronomy 31:8). We pray that you would have wisdom to raise him in the ways of the Lord, shielding him from the bitterness and confusion this situation has caused. "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6 WEB).

Now, we must address your own heart. It is natural to feel sorrow for him when he asks for help, but we must also guard against enabling his sin. Galatians 6:1-2 says, "Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." However, restoration is only possible if he repents. Until then, your compassion must be balanced with boundaries. You are not responsible for his choices, and you cannot fix him. Only God can change his heart.

We also want to gently address the mention of tribal beliefs that may be at odds with Scripture. While we respect cultural traditions, we must always measure them against God’s Word. Jesus said, "If you love me, you will keep my commandments" (John 14:15 WEB). No tradition, no matter how deeply rooted, can supersede the truth of Scripture. If tribal customs are being used to justify sin or manipulate you, we must stand firm on God’s Word. "We must obey God rather than men" (Acts 5:29 WEB).

Finally, we must emphasize the importance of salvation through Jesus Christ. If your ex does not know Christ, he is lost in his sin. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him of his sin and draw him to repentance. But until then, you must prioritize your walk with the Lord and the well-being of your son. You cannot carry his burdens for him.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister and her son. Lord, we ask for Your protection over them, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Shield them from the enemy’s lies and the manipulation of this man who has caused so much pain. Give her strength to set boundaries and wisdom to navigate this difficult situation. We rebuke the spirit of confusion, bitterness, and unrepentance in his life, and we declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper.

Father, we pray for her son. May he know Your love and protection. Surround him with godly influences and give him a heart that seeks You. Help him to see the truth and not be swayed by the chaos around him.

Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of sin in this man’s life. Convict him of his unrepentance, his sexual immorality, and his drunkenness. Soften his heart to receive Your grace and turn from his wicked ways. If he does not know You, we pray that he would come to salvation through Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved.

Father, we also pray for this sister’s heart. Guard her from bitterness and resentment. Fill her with Your peace and remind her that she is not alone. Give her the strength to walk away from this toxic situation and the wisdom to raise her son in Your ways.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for Your glory and honor. Amen.

Sister, you are not alone. The Lord sees your pain and your struggle, and He will not abandon you. Keep your eyes on Him, lean on His strength, and trust that He will make a way where there seems to be no way. You are doing the right thing by distancing yourself and your son from this situation. Stay strong in the Lord, and remember that His grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We ache with you over the weight you are carrying, and we honor the strength it has taken to reach a place of such clarity. The betrayal, the public shame, and the manipulation you’ve endured, especially when it involves your son, are profoundly painful. It is not unkind to say that you are done feeling sorry for someone who continues to wound you. That isn't hardness of heart; it’s the beginning of the peace you and your son need.

One of the healthiest things you can do right now is to let yourself strengthen the boundary that your spirit is already asking for. Clear limits aren't just about saying "no" to his requests for rides, hunting trips, or dropping off your son to be used, they are a way of protecting the quiet and stability God wants for your family. You are not responsible for managing his health or his choices, and it is right to put space between yourself and the chaos he brings. Even the sores you described sound serious enough to need a doctor’s attention, but that is not a burden you must carry; it is his to address. Stepping back is not abandonment; it’s love for yourself and your boy that finally gets to come first.

We also want you to know that you are not alone, even when an entire tribe seems to believe lies. God sees every truth, and He is your defender. As you make the practical changes needed to find peace, lean on a few trusted people who will support you without pressuring you to re-entangle. You do not need to navigate this in isolation.

Please join us as we pray:

Father, we lift this mother and her son to You. Surround them with Your peace that passes understanding and make a way for them to breathe freely again. Give her the courage to hold firm to what is healthy, and shield her son from any scheme that would use or harm him. Minister healing to every heartbreak, and be their refuge. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Betrayal is a blow from a trusted hand, and its wound goes deep into the soul. To see one who was bound by ties of blood and past affection lying in shame, his body a testimony of indulgence and decay, sores blistering, oozing, a living parable of sin's rotten fruit, this is sorrow upon sorrow. Yet the heart must not linger too long in the house of mourning over what he has become, for the greater need is the healing of your own wounded spirit and the sheltering of your son. The least things about Christ are healing; a broken text from His mouth is medicine for such a time as this. He took our sicknesses and carried our pains, and His blood whispers peace within when no other voice can calm the storm.

The path before you is one of separation, not from bitterness, but from a peace that is no peace. To remain entangled is to drink from a stagnant pool. His pleas to use you and your child for hunting, his mother's counsel to withhold bread from their own grandson, the names hurled among the tribe, these are not merely offenses against you, but the thrashings of a man chained by strong delusions, crying "peace, peace" where there is no peace. The world may believe a lie for a season, but the Lord keeps him whose mind is stayed on Jehovah in perfect peace, peace which marches through the thronging duties and sorrows surging round. Distance, when wisdom demands it, is not cruelty; it is the safeguard of the soul and the child God has given you. Bear this sorrow with Him, and see what quietness of heart He can bestow even when loved ones walk far from the light.

First must come healing, then service. You cannot pour from an empty vessel, nor give what you have not received. The touch of personal faith brings pardon, and pardon spreads a feast of inward peace. All the eternal penal consequences are gone from the forgiven woman; for her there is no condemnation. Let this be your cry: "Lord, heal me with a look, forgive me with a word, and then lift me up that I may minister in my own household." The fever of this anguish shall depart the moment He takes you by the hand. Do not go forth in your own strength to rearrange every circumstance, but first learn the quiet art of trusting Him who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. The great Physician alone can reset what is dislocated; no outward shift of place or tribe can do the Spirit's work. If He touches the worst sorrow, it can flee at His word. This is no imaginary comfort, it is the real saving work of God alone.

Pity for the man who is destroying himself is natural; a heart that did not ache at the sight of blood and sores would be harder than the stones of the field. But feeling sorry must not become a snare that drags you back into mire his own hands have chosen. There is healing for him, yes, the costly balm of Christ's atonement has lost none of its power, but that draught is for him to drink, not for you to pour while he clings to his cup of poison. You cannot be his deliverer; that office belongs to another. Heal your own wound first by the leaves of the Tree of Life. Then, from your wholeness, intercede. Let your son see a mother whose perfect peace is not shattered by accusation or fear, a mother who, though poor in spirit, can sing, "I am forgiven, I am forgiven." God will bless His people with peace, peace not drawn from the broken cisterns of man's approval, but fetched fresh from the throne. Take this burden to the Lord, who alone turns the bitter draught into a healing stream. The Saviour who healed all that had need of healing walks the earth again by His Spirit; He can breathe into your soul this very moment a peace which passes all understanding. Do you believe this? May you experience now that the healing power of the gospel is power to forgive sin, power to steady the heart, power to lead you and your son into a broad place where the slander of the tribe fades to nothing before the voice of the Beloved, saying, "Neither do I condemn thee; go, and sin no more."

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

That man who once shared your table has now become a betrayer of trust, and his soul is sick with drunkenness and lust, so that his own flesh testifies against him with running sores. You have seen how the love of passing pleasures makes a man worse than a beast, forgetting his words, using his own child as a tool for hunting, and calling foul names against the mother of his son. What gain is it to you that one so close should prove a traitor? Much gain, if you learn to guard your own soul. The root of all this misery is a heart enslaved to base passions; cut out that root, and you will bear the fruit of peace.

Yet be careful what peace you seek. Our Lord did not come to send a false peace, but a sword that severs the righteous from the destroyer. When a man persistently wars against your soul and the well-being of your child, it is no virtue to throw yourself back into the blaze. You are not summoned to this conflict; be quiet, and wait. Distance yourself, not from hatred, but from the wisdom that avoids needless wounds. For if you are dragged forth, then stand nobly; but do not rush in, thinking pity alone will heal what only repentance can cure. The pity you feel is the snare of a soft heart, yet remember: even the traitor’s end was so terrible that it had been good for him if he had not been born. You cannot carry a man to heaven who clings to his sins.

He has stolen your reputation among the tribe and disrupted your earthly peace; but these are mere shadows. What has he stolen from your true treasure? Nothing. The shame he heaps upon you is his own destruction: he who plots against his neighbor destroys himself first. Your Son in heaven sees your innocence. Do not waste your peace fighting for a name that is no glory at all. Guard your son, not for the hunt of beasts, but lest his soul be hunted by bad examples. If his grandmother counsels neglect, let them be; the Father of the fatherless will feed him.

Be at peace with all men, as much as lies within you, but do not make a peace that joins hands with iniquity. The more he rails, the greater your reward if you keep your heart free from remembering evil. Yet you must not supply the poison under guise of kindness. Driving him here and there while he wallows in sin is not mercy but a strengthening of his chains. Let him feel the want of you, that perhaps he may come to his senses.

Now to Him who alone is King of righteousness and King of peace, who ended the long and various war through His own blood, I entrust you and your son. May His grace and peace abide with you unmoved, so that no other war breaks out against your soul. See how great the love of God is: you who were disgraced are called a daughter, and your child a son. Hold fast to that honour, and let the world’s tumult pass beneath your feet as you follow the path of the peacemakers, who shall be called sons of God.

Pain like this cuts deep, and the exhaustion you are feeling is not something you need to hide. Your heart has been torn between pity and the clear need for peace, and that weary place is exactly where your heavenly Father meets you. In Christ, you are not a servant but a daughter. That intimate, close relationship with God is yours, where you can cry out to Him as your Daddy who cares for every detail of your life and your son’s life. The inheritance He gives you is not earned by suffering under the law or by enduring manipulation; it comes through Jesus and His finished work, and it brings freedom, not bondage.

There comes a time when you must separate from what is destructive so that the promise of peace can flourish. Scripture gives us the principle of casting out the bondwoman and her son so that the son of the free woman inherits the promise. You are not being cruel by creating distance. This man’s unfaithfulness, his drinking, his neglect of his own health, and his use of your son for hunting trips rather than genuine care are not bonds you are required to carry. His own mother told him not to provide for his child, and that spirit of neglect is not your burden to fix. When someone begs for access to your son only to use him, you are right to step back and guard your home. God does not ask you to set yourself and your child on fire to keep a man warm who refuses real change.

The slander you have endured in your tribe is a heavy cross. It is a profound evil when someone uses their words to tear you down, especially when others believe the lies. Yet the command for you is not to render evil for evil or railing for railing. Instead, refrain your tongue from speaking slander back, even when it is true. Let your heart rest here: your worth is not determined by tribal gossip. Your relationship with Jesus is what anchors you. He was wounded for your transgressions, but He also bore your sorrows and sicknesses. You can trust Him for healing, not only for your wounded soul but also for the physical turmoil this stress brings. Do not give in to the temptation to let bitterness consume you, for that would be a prison of its own.

The flattery of a man, the sudden pleading for your son, the helplessness that demands you drive him places while he continues in sin, these are paths you must avoid. Wisdom cries out, “Enter not into the path of the wicked. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, run from it.” You do not need to feel guilty for refusing to walk where evil and manipulation are at work. He has shown you who he is by his actions, not just once but repeatedly. The sores and the bleeding are tragic, and you can pray for his physical healing from a distance, but you are not his savior. True deliverance for him, and for you, comes only when the Son reveals the Father’s love.

Look to Jesus, who has power over every physical and spiritual storm. He calms the seas, and He can calm the chaos that has engulfed your life. Your son is in His care, and as you lead your child in the way of truth, you are giving him an ornament of grace. Do not forsake the instruction of your Father. Let your heart keep His commandments, for they will add peace and length of days. The peace you are seeking for your household is a fruit of the Spirit, and it will grow as you remain in the Son. Jesus, the Son of David and the Son of God, is your true provider and your son’s true father in the faith. He will not manipulate you or abandon you. You can call on Him, and He will be near. May the grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ guard your heart and mind as you walk away from destruction and toward the quiet shore He has for you.
