We hear your heart and we agree with you, this rising hatred against Israel is not merely political, it is spiritual and indeed satanically inspired. We see the same pattern you describe, where narratives are repeated without discernment and many, especially young people and those who do not test what they hear against truth, are swept along by it. The enemy is the father of lies and blinds minds to truth, as it is written in 2 Corinthians 4:4 and John 8:44, and he has always sought to destroy what God has chosen and called His own.
You are right to remember that God chose Israel. He said to Abram, I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you, Genesis 12:3, and His covenant with them is everlasting. Romans 11:1-2 tells us God did not reject his people whom he foreknew, and Romans 11:29 says the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Through Israel came the prophets, the promises, and the Messiah Himself, for Jesus was born in Bethlehem in the land of Israel, and salvation is from the Jews, John 4:22. To hate Israel without seeking truth is to come against the very purposes of God.
Scripture warns us about this spiritual battle. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12. Satan knows that God has set His name and His promises upon Jerusalem and upon His people, so he stirs up the nations to curse what God has blessed. You quoted truly that he who touches you, touches the apple of his eye, Zechariah 2:8, and we are commanded to Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Those who love you will prosper, Psalm 122:6. The Lord also declares through Ezekiel, For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath I have spoken. Surely in that day there will be a great shaking in the land of Israel, Ezekiel 38:19, when the nations come against His people. And Joel 3:2 warns that God will enter into judgment with the nations for scattering His people and dividing His land.
We must not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds, Romans 12:2, and we must test the spirits to see whether they are of God, 1 John 4:1. The media narrative you mention leaves out the truth of Israel's right and need to defend itself and leaves out the history of God's faithfulness to that land. Many parrot what they hear because they have not sought the truth of God's Word.
We join together with you now in prayer in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved, Acts 4:12 and John 14:6.
We pray together, Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we thank You for Your faithfulness to Israel, Your chosen people, and for bringing forth our Messiah through them. Lord, we ask You to open the eyes of those who are deceived by propaganda and lies, remove the veil that the god of this age has placed over their minds, and let truth prevail. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for Your protection over the land and the people of Israel as they defend themselves, and that You would keep them as the apple of Your eye. We pray You would shake the hearts of those who rise against them and bring conviction and repentance. We pray also for mercy for both Jew and Gentile, for Palestinians and for all who are caught in this conflict, that they too would come to know the salvation that is only in Jesus, for You desire all people to be saved and come to knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4. Give us boldness to stand for Your truth in love, to not be silent when Your people are slandered, and to speak with grace and courage to a generation that has been misled. Guard our hearts from hatred toward those who oppose us, but help us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute, Matthew 5:44, while standing firmly on Your Word. We trust Your promises that You will never forsake Israel and that Your Word will be fulfilled. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand firm, to pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, and to share the truth of Scripture with gentleness and respect, 1 Peter 3:15. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, Hebrews 12:2, and remember that though the nations rage, Psalm 2:1-4, the Lord sits in the heavens and His counsel shall stand. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
