We stand together in deep concern and righteous indignation as we witness the bold and blasphemous attempts to distort the unchanging Word of God. The apostle Paul warned us in 2 Corinthians 11:13-15, "For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as Christ’s apostles. And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light. It is no great thing therefore if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works." The enemy has always sought to twist the truth, and in these last days, his deception grows ever more cunning and pervasive.
This politician—and any leader who dares to "override" God’s Word—is not merely expressing an opinion but engaging in spiritual warfare against the very foundation of our faith. Galatians 1:8-9 is clear: "But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any ‘good news’ other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed. As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any ‘good news’ other than that which you received, let him be cursed." When someone claims God is both male and female, they reject the clear revelation of Scripture, where God consistently reveals Himself as Father (Matthew 6:9), Son (John 1:14), and Holy Spirit (John 14:26)—each with distinct, holy, and unchanging roles. To suggest otherwise is to deny the very nature of God as He has revealed Himself.
The promotion of abortion is another grievous sin, a direct violation of God’s commandment, "You shall not murder" (Exodus 20:13). Psalm 139:13-16 declares, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them." To "overlook" these truths is to call evil good and good evil (Isaiah 5:20), and those who lead others into this deception will answer to God.
We must also address the sobering reality that those who follow such false teachings do so because they have "itching ears" (2 Timothy 4:3-4), craving messages that suit their own desires rather than the truth. This is a sign of the times, as Jesus Himself warned, "Many false prophets will arise and will lead many astray" (Matthew 24:11). But we are not to despair—we are to stand firm, speak the truth in love, and expose the deeds of darkness (Ephesians 5:11).
Let us pray together with urgency and conviction:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We grieve over the deception that is sweeping through our world, where Your Word is twisted, Your nature is distorted, and Your commandments are ignored. Lord, we ask that You would open the eyes of those who have been led astray by smooth words and false teachings. Break the chains of deception, Holy Spirit, and bring conviction where there is hardness of heart.
We rebuke the spirit of rebellion that seeks to exalt itself above Your Word. We declare that no man, no politician, no leader has the authority to override what You have spoken. Your Word stands forever (Isaiah 40:8), and we choose to believe it, obey it, and defend it. Father, raise up bold and faithful voices in this generation who will proclaim Your truth without compromise. Give us courage to stand against the tide of deception, even when it costs us.
We pray for those who are deceived—soften their hearts, Lord. Let them see the emptiness of the lies they have believed and turn to You in repentance. For those who persist in leading others astray, we ask that You would deal with them according to Your justice and mercy. May they come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ before it is too late.
We also pray for Your church, Lord. Strengthen us to be a light in this dark world. Help us to love as You love, but never at the expense of truth. Equip us to answer every falsehood with Scripture, every lie with Your Word, and every act of rebellion with prayer and fasting. Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
We declare that the gates of hell will not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18). We stand on the authority of Jesus’ name, and we resist the devil and all his schemes (James 4:7). May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
