Ok, here is the warning, but where are the instructions? Is there only fear to leave us into legacy? I believe there is more...LOVE AND POWER of God which is revealed into a new testament. The God of fear was very good represented in the new testament. The God of new testament adds His LOVE through Jesus sacrifice for us. Unconditional love. To be true, if I would only fear God, I would not be saved and not interested in Him, I have experienced His love and this is what drives me forward even in hardest times. People don't want God that shows them only fear, they have enough of worry in their lives...
There are some Bible verses which show us how to recognize false from right:
Matthew 7:15-20 New King James Version (NKJV)
You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
The question is now what are the good fruits, but I believe there would be many different explanations of this.
Also, there is a verse (sorry, I don't know where it is in the Bible, please quote it freely) that says that TRUE DISCIPLES OF JESUS WILL BE RECOGNIZED BY LOVE THAT THEY WILL SHOW TO ONE ANOTHER. It is logical, because God is love and if we are His children, we are also love and we will show love to people. I know that all of us have flaws (more or less) but this essence of a born again believer is in every one of us, if we are saved. This new creature in us is ready to repent, and listens to promptings of the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit is like a dove, gentle, sensible...He leaves you alone if you ignore him (after a couple of times nudging you to the right decision). But if we have the Holy Spirit, He is love and He knows everything and He can lead us and guide us into all the truth, if we are not stiff-necked. False teachings come because of someone's DECEPTION, REBELLION, someone wants to prove himself that he is someone in the world and so he is twisting the truth around for his money or glory or power or whatever.
If you have the Holy Spirit within you, you will know and recognize false teachers/prophets/apostles....You will feel unease inside of you, that something is not right. You will not be inspired to love God and be more with Him listening to false preachers...it will put fear, pressure, confusion, or guilt on you. REAL PREACHERS remove burdens and destroy yokes over the peoples' lives, like Jesus did, over the ones who are hungry and thirsty for Him, but He also did it with the EVIL ONES, like Saul was. He appeared in his life and showed him grace of salvation in spite of his EVIL DOINGS. He showed Him LOVE!! So let's not be quick to judge anyone. God knows what He is doing.
