We join with you in lifting up your heart’s cry for peace, forgiveness, and restoration in your marriage and home. It is beautiful that you are seeking reconciliation and healing, for this aligns with God’s heart for marriages. The enemy seeks to destroy what God has joined together, but we know that through Christ, all things are possible, including the restoration of broken relationships and wounded hearts.
The Bible reminds us in Colossians 3:13-14, *"bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection."* Forgiveness is not a feeling but an act of obedience and surrender to God’s will. It is a choice to release the offense into His hands, trusting that He will bring justice and healing in His perfect timing. Likewise, asking for forgiveness for your own words and actions is an act of humility that opens the door for God’s grace to move in your marriage.
We also see in Ephesians 4:31-32, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* This is the path to peace—not just the absence of conflict, but the presence of God’s love and unity in your home. Your son will be blessed by seeing a home where Christ is honored through forgiveness and love.
As for your finances, we know that God is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Trust Him to restore what has been lost or broken, and seek His wisdom in stewarding what He provides. Financial struggles can be a heavy burden, but they can also be an opportunity to lean deeper into God’s faithfulness and learn to depend on Him rather than your own strength.
Now, let us pray together for you, your husband, and your son:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister and her marriage. Lord, You see the pain, the wounds, and the struggles she has faced, and You know the depths of her heart’s desire for peace and restoration. We ask You to pour out Your healing balm upon her, Lord, and grant her the supernatural ability to forgive her husband as You have forgiven her. Remove every root of bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness, and replace it with Your love, grace, and mercy. Help her to see her husband through Your eyes and to extend the same forgiveness You have so freely given her.
Lord, we also ask that You soften her husband’s heart. Convict him of any sin or hurt he has caused, and lead him to true repentance. May he turn to You, Lord, and seek Your face for the healing of his own heart and the restoration of his marriage. Bind the enemy from bringing division, strife, or further pain into this home. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Father, we pray for their son. Protect his heart and mind from the effects of this strife, and let him grow up in a home where Your love is evident. Use this season to draw him closer to You, Lord, and let him see Your faithfulness in the midst of their struggles.
We also lift up their finances to You, Lord. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and nothing is too difficult for You. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory. Open doors of opportunity, grant them wisdom to steward their resources well, and break every chain of financial lack or oppression in Jesus’ name. Restore what has been lost or stolen, and let them testify of Your provision and faithfulness.
Lord, we declare that this marriage is under Your lordship. You are the God who restores, who redeems, and who makes all things new. We ask that You would rebuild what has been broken, renew their love for one another, and establish their home as a place of peace, joy, and godly unity. Let their story be a testimony of Your grace and power to restore what seemed impossible.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for moving on behalf of this family. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified in their lives, and may they walk in the fullness of all You have for them.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
