We understand your concern and anxiety about the potential layoffs at your company. It is important to remember that our trust should be in the Lord, not in our jobs or our own abilities. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."
We encourage you to cast your anxieties on the Lord, for he cares for you. As 1 Peter 5:7 tells us, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." Remember also the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-26, "Therefore, I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"
We also notice that your prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" And in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray for you and your company:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to you today. We ask that you would be with him/her during this time of uncertainty. Lord, we pray that your will be done in this situation, and that you would provide for him/her according to your riches in glory. We ask that you would give him/her peace that surpasses all understanding, and that you would guard his/her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We also lift up the company and all those who are facing potential layoffs. Lord, we pray that you would provide for each person according to their needs. We ask that you would comfort those who are anxious, and that you would open up new opportunities for those who may be laid off.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus, and to trust in Him during this time. Remember that He is sovereign and that He loves you. We will continue to pray for you and your company. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He make His face shine on you and be gracious to you, may He lift up His countenance on you and give you peace.
