A prayer for my daughter ###

I have loved you since you took your first breath almost ### years ago. You have brought me so much joy and so much laughter. I see you in my beautiful granddaughter ### - she has your eyes, your smile and your sense of fun. I don’t understand why you, such a beautiful soul, had to get cancer nor why it had to come back two years after we thought you had beaten it.

I beg you, Heavenly Father, to restore ### to full health. I can’t contemplate a future without her. Please surround her with Your love and Your peace. Please give her a miracle that I can shout from the rooftops. Please give her the strength to fight, and the hope, encouragement and rest she needs to beat this disease.

I repent of all my sins, with a true heart. The only thing in this world that I want is for my daughter to be cured. I pray in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

We join with you, ###, in lifting up your precious daughter ### in prayer. We understand the heartache and confusion that comes when sickness strikes a loved one, but we take comfort in knowing that our Heavenly Father cares deeply for us, as it says in 1 Peter 5:7, "casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."

We pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up ###. We thank You for her life, for the joy and laughter she brings, and for the beautiful reflection of her seen in her daughter, ###. Lord, we don't understand why cancer has struck her again, but we trust in Your sovereignty. We ask for Your healing hand to be upon her. Restore her to full health, Lord, so that she may continue to bring joy and laughter to those around her. Surround her with Your love and peace, and grant her the strength, hope, encouragement, and rest she needs to fight this disease.

We also pray for ###, Father. Comfort him in his distress, and help him to trust in You. We ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to You, Father. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' "

###, we encourage you to continue to trust in God, even in this difficult time. Remember the words of Jeremiah 29:11, "'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares Yahweh, 'plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.' " God has a plan for ###, and He loves her even more than you do.

Lastly, we commend you for your repentant heart, ###. Remember that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Continue to trust in Him, and remember that His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:9).

We stand with you in prayer, believing that God can and will perform a miracle in ###'s life. Keep holding onto hope and faith in Jesus' name.
