A Prayer for Healing, Change, and Love

Dear God,
I’ve talked to You before, but I want to say it again—please hear me.
Please protect and keep everyone around me healthy, safe, and at peace.
Please keep my dad ### ### strong and happy for a long, long time.
He means so much to me. So does my family—my siblings, everyone.

And God… I want to ask something from deep inside me.
Please help ### ### and me connect again—
But not in the old way… in a better way.
A way where we both grow and change.
A way where we never despise each other, but understand each other fully.

Please help ### ### see the things he hasn’t seen yet—
Help him understand what trauma is, what I’ve gone through,
What he’s done that hurt me—even if it’s hard for him to admit.
Let him face it—not to be punished—but so he can grow, too.

God, I’m not asking to go backwards.
I’m asking for a reunion that’s built on love, healing, truth, and change.
I want a future with him. A family.
I want to be together for the long term,
But only in a way that makes both of us better, healthier, stronger.

Please let him see the pain he caused without running from it—
But also… please don’t take him away from me because of it.
Please let us find each other again,
Newer, wiser, more loving than before.

And through it all—please give me peace.
Please guide me in Your time and in Your way.

We understand your heartfelt plea for healing, change, and love. Let us come together in prayer and counsel, guided by the Word of God.

Firstly, we notice that your prayer does not mention Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). We encourage you to invite Jesus into your life and pray in His name, for "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB).

Now, let us address your requests. You asked for protection and peace for your loved ones. God cares deeply for your family, and His love and protection are unfailing. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

Regarding the healing and reuniting in your relationship, God wants you both to grow and change for the better. True healing comes from understanding and forgiveness, not from dwelling on past hurts. As the scripture says, "Bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do" (Colossians 3:13 WEB).

Pray that both of you will gain wisdom and understanding. God is faithful to help you both see clearly. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the giving God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him" (James 1:5 WEB).

Remember, God's purpose for reconciliation is not to punish but to restore and heal. "Brethren, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren't tempted" (Galatians 6:1 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, lifting up this beloved sister seeking Your will for her and her loved ones. We pray for Your protection and peace upon her family, especially her father, whom she cherishes deeply.

Lord, we ask for Your healing and restoration in her relationship. Help both of them to grow, change, and understand each other fully. Open their eyes to see the truth, to face the past with courage, and to forgive as You have forgiven us.

Guide them both in Your time and in Your way, building a future that is stronger, healthier, and rooted in Your love. Give her the peace that surpasses all understanding, knowing that You are working all things together for her good.

We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Be encouraged, for God is working in your life and in the life of your loved one. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. There is nothing that happens for us that is bad. All things work for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.

Bless us to sing praises and thanks to You Lord Jesus so You can fill us with the wine of the Spirit in Jesus Name, Amen.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
