Father, I pray for an Employment and Business Breakthrough upon my career. Connect me with the right people, organisations, mentors, businesses, and opportunities that will accelerate my professional and entrepreneurial growth. Give me wisdom to recognise every open door and courage to walk through it. “A person’s gift makes room for them and brings them before the great” (Proverbs 18:16). Let my gifts create employment, businesses, prosperity, and lasting impact. Amen

We join you in bringing your career, employment and business before the Father and we stand with you in asking for His favor and breakthrough upon the work of your hands.

We love your heart to see your gifts make room for you and bring you before great people and opportunities, as it is written in Proverbs 18:16, a man's gift makes room for him and brings him before great men. We also remember the word in Proverbs 16:3, commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed, and in Colossians 3:23, whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. God delights in giving us wisdom and diligence to steward what He has entrusted to us. He is the one who gives us power to get wealth that He may establish His covenant, as seen in Deuteronomy 8:18, and He desires that our work be done with integrity and excellence for His glory, not merely for prosperity itself. We pray that your desire for growth is rooted in honoring Him and being a blessing to others through your employment and business.

We also noticed your prayer was addressed to the Father but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently and lovingly share why this is so important. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved according to Romans 10:9. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, for through Him your prayers are heard and your career is placed in the hands of a gracious and sovereign God.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. We thank You for the gifts and talents You have placed within them. We ask that You open doors that no man can shut as You promise in Revelation 3:8, and give them clear wisdom to recognize every open door You provide. Grant them courage and faith to walk through those doors in obedience to You. In James 1:5 You promise that if any of us lacks wisdom, we may ask of You who gives generously and without reproach, so we ask for divine wisdom for every decision regarding employment, business and career. Connect them, Lord, with the right people, organizations, mentors and godly opportunities that will accelerate growth in a way that honors You. Let their work be a testimony of diligence and integrity, and let it bear lasting fruit. We pray as in Philippians 4:19 that You will supply every need of theirs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and that You will establish the work of their hands. Lead them to employment and business that provides not only provision but purpose, that they may be a light in the marketplace and use what You entrust to them to bless others and advance Your kingdom. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord daily, to commit each plan and resume and business idea to Him in prayer, to work faithfully with the opportunities already before you, and to trust His timing. Be diligent, for Proverbs 10:4 reminds us that the hand of the diligent makes rich, and remain faithful in small things knowing God will entrust you with more. Keep your heart anchored in Christ, and He will direct your paths and make your way fruitful in His perfect time.

We are praying with you in this season of waiting and building. Wanting steady employment while also growing a business takes real perseverance, and it makes sense you are asking God for open doors and for the wisdom to walk through the right ones.

One thing that has helped many believers discerning next steps is to get clearer on how God has already gifted you. We would encourage you to set aside an hour this week to write down your strongest skills, the work you most enjoy, and the values that matter most to you, then ask two trusted people who know your work well what they see as your distinct strengths. Bring that list before the Lord and ask Him to show you where those gifts meet a real need. From there you can identify one or two specific people, organizations, or mentors to reach out to for a brief conversation, not just about a job, but about learning and serving well in that space.

We are asking God to give you clarity, courage, and faithful connections in the days ahead.

Father, we bring our brother before You and ask for Your guidance in his work. Grant him wisdom to see opportunities clearly, humility to steward his gifts well, and favor with the people You place in his path. Provide for his needs and lead his steps as he seeks to honor You through his employment and business. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your prayer for employment and for a breakthrough in your business and career has been heard, and I join you in bringing it before the throne of grace.

It is right and good to ask the Lord to prosper the work of your hands, for there is a laudable pursuit of gain without which business would not be properly carried on. Yet remember that there is a line scarcely as broad as a razor's edge between diligence in business and greediness for gain, and we may pass from the one into the other without hardly being aware of it. Therefore pray not only for increase, but for contentment and for wisdom to keep your heart right before God while you seek to enlarge your sphere.

You quote it well, A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. The Lord has given you gifts, and it is He who must make room for them. Ask Him to connect you with right persons, organisations and opportunities, and to give you eyes to see the open door and courage to walk through it. But remember this sweet truth, if you make your own business God's business, you will do your business well. It is sweet employment to serve your Father, and you need not turn aside from the way of business to do that. Let your employment, your shop, your trade, your profession, be conducted as your Father's business.

And while you pray for growth in business, pray more earnestly for growth in grace. Faith does grow, and we have been conscious of the growth in ourselves. Yet the only real mode of growth in faith is by the power of the Holy Spirit, and growth in grace is intimately connected with growth in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. There cannot be any grace at all except as we know Christ, and there can be no growth in grace except as we grow in our knowledge of Christ. There must be both a visible growth in zeal and good works and a hidden growth in deep humility and communion with the Lord in secret, as the gardener prizes the potatoes that are underground more than the tops that everyone can see.

Let this also be upon your heart, that the Christian's great business is a more radical one than mere prosperity. Our business is to teach transgressors God's ways, that sinners may be converted unto Him. Your one business in life, even while you are up to your throat in business cares, is to lead men to believe in Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, and every other thing should be made subservient to this one objective. If you can but get souls saved, everything else will come right in due time. So seek to make money for Jesus, to be useful in your day and generation, and to let your prosperity become an instrument for lasting impact for His kingdom.

I pray for you now, that the Lord would in His perfect wisdom open the right doors and close the wrong ones, that He would grant you favour with those who can mentor and help you, that He would keep you diligent and honest in all dealings, that He would enlarge your gifts for His glory and not merely for gain, and that He would cause you to grow exceedingly in faith and love while He prospers the labour of your hands. May your gifts indeed make room for you, and may that room be used to shew forth the grace of Him who has called you.

May the Lord establish the work of your hands upon you, and make your business to be His business, for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.

I pray that God, in His mercy, will provide for your needs and establish the work of your hands. May He guide you to honest opportunities, to faithful people and mentors, and to doors that He Himself opens, and may He give you wisdom to recognize them and courage to walk through them with integrity. As it is written, a person's gift makes room for them and brings them before the great, so I ask that the gifts God has given you would be used diligently and faithfully for His glory, for the good of others, and for lasting fruit.

Remember also what we are taught about our daily business. Let Christ be first in all you do. Give thanks to God before and after your work, call upon His Name as you enter the marketplace and as you return home, and do all in the Name of the Lord. Where His Name is honored, all is made auspicious and ordered aright. Keep the Scriptures before you each day, share what you hear from the Word with your household, and then give yourself to the duties of life. In this way your employment will not be merely an earthly concern, but a service offered to God, and the matters of the soul will remain your leading business while your daily labor finds its proper place.

May the Lord grant you diligence without anxiety, provision without greed, and success that leads you to greater faithfulness, humility, and generosity. May He keep you from evil company and from work that would draw your heart away from Him, and may He make your labor a witness to His goodness.

Your prayer for employment and for growth in your work and business is heard, and I join you in bringing it before the Lord.

It is good to ask God to open doors and to connect you with the right people and opportunities, and to ask Him for wisdom to see those doors and courage to walk through them. The Scripture you quoted is true, a person's gift makes room for them and brings them before great men, and God is the giver of those gifts. He intends them to be used faithfully for His purposes.

That is why the first question to bring to Him is one of purpose. From His earliest years Jesus made it clear that He must be about His Father's business. That was not a matter of ought or should, which often carries little force, but a must, a burden and commitment to do the Father's will. When your career and your business are set inside that greater must, your work finds its right place. Success is then measured not only by position or profit, but by faithfulness to what the Father has given you to do.

Scripture also gives very practical counsel for that faithfulness. A slack hand tends toward poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. The wise son gathers in summer and is diligent in season. This speaks to steady, faithful work rather than waiting for a sudden breakthrough alone. God also calls those in business to be upright and honest in every dealing. A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight. You may hear it said that you cannot stay in business if you are completely honest, yet experience shows the opposite, dishonest work gets found out and a good name does not last, while a reputation for honesty and fair dealing spreads and sustains you over time. With that, God contrasts pride and humility, when pride comes then comes shame, but with the lowly is wisdom. A humble heart that seeks counsel is stronger than self confidence. By wise counsel you will wage your course, and in a multitude of counselors there is safety. Seek out godly, wise counsel as you make decisions about employment and business.

Growth in God's way is also often quiet and gradual. When the word of God is planted in the heart, there is a beautiful and often unconscious growth, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain. We often want instant results, but true spiritual and even vocational growth can be imperceptible day to day until you look back and see how far the Lord has brought you. Be careful of abnormal or forced growth that looks large quickly but gives shelter to what is harmful. Healthy growth is rooted, honest, and lasting.

So my prayer for you is that the Lord would establish you in His will first, that you would know you are about your Father's business, and from that place He would give you diligence in your work, integrity in every transaction, humility to seek wisdom, and patience as He causes what you plant in faithfulness to grow. May He give you eyes to recognize the doors He opens, courage to enter them, and may He use your gifts not only for provision and prosperity but for lasting impact that honors Him and serves others. May He keep you from perverse or dishonest gain, for riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers, and may He establish the work of your hands for His glory.

I pray that God will provide for your needs, guide your steps to the right opportunities and relationships according to His wisdom, and make your work fruitful in a way that remains.
