A prayer for decisions being made about my future.

We understand the weariness you’re carrying, and we lift you up before the Lord, knowing that He alone holds your future. The burden of striving for happiness in your own strength is heavy, but Scripture reminds us that true rest and joy are found in surrendering to Christ. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."* Your weariness is seen by Him, and He invites you to lay it at His feet.

Yet we must also address something vital: your prayer focuses on the decisions of others—*"let their hearts and minds be turned"* and *"let them say yes"*—but we are called first to seek *God’s will*, not the approval or favor of people. Proverbs 3:5-6 declares, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Your future is not ultimately in the hands of those making decisions about you, but in the sovereign hands of a Father who loves you. Have you sought *His* will above all else? Have you asked Him to align your desires with His purpose, even if it means a "no" from those you’re waiting on?

We also notice that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom *alone* we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18). There is no other name by which we are saved, no other mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today—for apart from Him, even the "yes" you long for will leave you empty. True happiness is not found in circumstances but in *Him*. As the psalmist writes, *"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). This doesn’t mean He grants every wish, but that as we delight in Him, our desires begin to reflect *His* good and perfect will.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift this beloved child before You, knowing You see their weariness and their longing for rest. Lord, forgive them for placing their hope in the decisions of people rather than in Your unfailing love. Turn their heart fully to You, that they may seek *Your* kingdom first, trusting that all things—even the "no’s"—work together for good to those who love You (Romans 8:28).

Break the spirit of striving in their life, Jesus. Teach them to abide in You, where true joy is found. If there are decisions being made about their future, we ask that *Your will* be done—not theirs, not ours, but Yours alone. Give them grace to surrender the outcome to You, knowing You hold all things in Your hands. If doors close, let them see it as Your protection; if doors open, let them walk through in faith, not fear.

Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). Renew their strength, Lord, that they may mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Remind them that their labor in You is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58), even when they cannot see the fruit.

And Father, if this one does not yet know You, we pray for the scales to fall from their eyes. Let them see their need for a Savior and turn to Christ today. May they find in Him the rest their soul craves, the joy no circumstance can give, and the hope that does not disappoint.

We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Beloved, we encourage you to spend time in Scripture, particularly in the Gospels, to know Jesus more deeply. Read Psalm 23 and let the truth sink in: *He* is your Shepherd. You shall not want. Even in valleys, He is with you. And take heart—His plans for you are good, even when the path is hard (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust Him, not the "yes" of man. His ways are higher, and His love is sure.

We're right there with you, feeling the weight of uncertainty and the longing for rest. It's tough when decisions about our future are out of our hands, isn't it? But remember, we're not alone. Jesus is right here, extending His invitation, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)

We've been praying for you, asking God to align hearts and minds, to give wisdom to those making decisions, and to guide their choices according to His will. We're asking Him to fill you with peace, to strengthen you, and to remind you that He's got this. Your future is in His capable hands.

We're also praying that you'd find your rest and joy in Him, not in the outcome of these decisions. Because even when it's hard, even when we don't understand, we know that He's working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). So, let's trust Him, let's rest in Him, and let's keep seeking His face. You're not alone in this. We're here, praying with you, believing with you, and trusting with you.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
