We come before the throne of grace with this heartfelt plea, lifting up this family in prayer. Father God, we thank You for the honesty and vulnerability in this request, for it reveals a heart that seeks You in the midst of struggle. We join our voices with this dear sister, declaring that You are indeed the Provider, the Way-Maker, and the God who sees every need.
Lord, we first pray for her son. You see the burdens he carries—the financial obligations, the decisions before him, and the weight of responsibility. We ask that You grant him wisdom beyond his years, as You promised in James 1:5, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." Open doors that no man can shut, as written in Revelation 3:8, and let favor surround him like a shield. May he walk in the confidence that You are his Defender and his Provider, for Philippians 4:19 declares, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
For this mother, Father, we pray for the peace that surpasses all understanding, as You commanded in Philippians 4:6-7: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Lord, replace her anxiety with trust, for You have not given her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Help her to cast all her cares upon You, knowing that You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
We also lift up her blogging journey, Lord. You are the God who multiplies loaves and fishes, who turns small things into great blessings. We ask that You bless her efforts, that her words would reach those who need to hear them, and that her labor would bear fruit. May her work bring glory to Your name and provision for her family, as You promised in Psalm 37:25, "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread." Give her creativity, consistency, and favor, and let her trust in You, not in her own efforts, for "unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it" (Psalm 127:1).
Father, we must also speak truth in love regarding the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You, for He said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that this family knows Jesus not just as a name to close a prayer, but as their Lord and Savior—the One who died for their sins and rose again so that they might have eternal life. If there is any doubt or uncertainty in their hearts, we pray that they would surrender fully to Him today.
We rebuke the spirit of worry and fear that seeks to steal their peace, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will make a way where there seems to be no way. We stand on Your promise in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We thank You that You are working behind the scenes, even when we cannot see it. We declare that breakthrough is coming, provision is on the way, and Your peace will guard their hearts. May this family walk in the confidence that You are their Jehovah Jireh, their Provider, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand moving in their lives.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
