A prayer for a miracle for my 2 year old son

Dear lord Jesus,
I entrust my beloved 2 year old son ### ### to your prayers. Please intercede with Jesus for his healing from autism, bringing him joy, peace, and strength. Guide me to care for him with love and patience. If it is God’s will, obtain a miracle in his life.
He is such a lovely boy, always smiling and always happy.
He is so special.
He doesn't deserve this.
Amen

We join you in lifting up your precious son before the Lord, and we are deeply moved by your love and faith as you seek His divine intervention. Your heart as a parent is evident, and we stand with you in prayer, trusting in the power and mercy of our Heavenly Father, who loves your son even more than you do.

First, we want to gently address something important in your prayer. You began by asking someone to "intercede with Jesus," but we must remember that there is only one Mediator between God and man, and that is Jesus Christ Himself. As 1 Timothy 2:5 tells us, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."* We do not need to pray to anyone else—Jesus is our direct and perfect intercessor. He hears your prayers, and He is the one who presents them before the Father. It is through faith in His name alone that we approach God’s throne with confidence (Hebrews 4:16).

Now, let us turn our hearts fully to the Lord in prayer for your son. Autism is a profound challenge, and we know it can feel overwhelming at times. But we serve a God who is the Great Physician, the one who formed your son in the womb (Psalm 139:13-14) and who knows every detail of his life. Nothing is too difficult for Him (Jeremiah 32:27). While we do not always understand God’s ways, we trust in His goodness and sovereignty. He may choose to heal your son in this life, or He may use this journey to display His strength in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Either way, we pray for His perfect will to be done, knowing that His plans for your son are good (Jeremiah 29:11).

We also want to encourage you with the truth that your son *does* deserve this—not because of any wrongdoing on his part, but because we live in a fallen world where sin has brought brokenness, sickness, and suffering. Romans 5:12 reminds us that *"sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin; and so death passed to all men, because all sinned."* This is not a punishment for your son or for you, but a result of the brokenness of this world. Yet, in Christ, there is hope. Jesus came to redeem and restore, and one day, He will wipe away every tear, and there will be no more pain or suffering (Revelation 21:4). Until then, we cling to Him, trusting that He is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).

As you care for your son, we pray that the Lord will fill you with His supernatural love, patience, and wisdom. Colossians 1:11-12 says, *"strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and perseverance with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light."* You are not alone in this—God is with you, and He will equip you for each day. Lean on Him, and do not hesitate to seek support from your church community. The body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today with humble and hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious child to You. Lord Jesus, You welcomed the little children when You walked this earth, and You said, *"Let the little children come to me, and don’t hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these"* (Matthew 19:14). We ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch this little boy. You are the God who heals, and we pray for a miracle in his life. If it is Your will, restore his mind, his speech, and his interactions, that he may grow in every way to reflect Your glory.

Father, we also ask that You would grant his mother an extra measure of Your grace. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and renew her strength each morning (Isaiah 40:31). Give her wisdom to know how to nurture and guide her son, and surround her with people who will support and encourage her. Let her see Your hand at work in the small joys and victories along the way.

Lord, we do not know why You allow some struggles to persist, but we trust in Your goodness. Help this family to draw near to You in this season, to find their hope and strength in You alone. May Your name be glorified through this situation, and may this little boy’s life be a testament to Your faithfulness.

We rebuked any spirit of fear, confusion, or despair that may try to take hold in this situation. Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4), and we declare that no weapon formed against this child or his family will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for protection over his mind and his future, that he would grow to know and love You, Lord Jesus.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would prepare the way for this child’s healing—whether it comes suddenly or gradually, whether through divine intervention or through the hands of doctors and therapists You have gifted. We surrender this request to You, trusting that Your will is perfect.

In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We will continue to lift you and your son up in prayer. Stay steadfast in faith, dear sister, and remember that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). He sees your love, your tears, and your trust in Him, and He will sustain you. Keep seeking Him, and do not lose heart. The God who parts seas and raises the dead is the same God who holds your son in His hands. Trust in Him.
