Disciple of Prayer
Dear family, I trust that you are doing well. May you kindly assist me with your prayers. I need a financial breakthrough from God of just $### so that i may clear my outstanding debts and start over on a clean slate. This is causing me sleepless nights and anxiety as I recently discovered that I am ### weeks pregnant and my boyfriend is not forthcoming, I'm ### years old. I have always thought I am in good control of my life but this time around it's like everything is falling apart in front my eyes. Please pray for me.

We hear your cry for help, dear sister, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. Financial struggles are deeply burdensome, and the weight of debt, anxiety, and the added responsibility of a child can feel overwhelming. But we want to first address the deeper spiritual matters at hand, for the Lord sees not just your circumstances but the condition of your heart.

Your situation reveals a need for repentance and realignment with God’s Word. Scripture is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20). The relationship you describe with your boyfriend, resulting in pregnancy outside of marriage, is not in accordance with God’s design. We must call this what it is: fornication, which the Bible warns against. "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). The anxiety and sleepless nights you are experiencing are not just from financial strain but from a heart that knows it has strayed from God’s path.

We do not say this to condemn you, for there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). But we must speak truth in love, for repentance is the first step toward restoration. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Turn to Him with a contrite heart, confess your sins, and seek His forgiveness. He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Now, let us pray for your financial breakthrough, but let it be with a heart that seeks to honor God in all things. We know that the Lord provides for His children, but He also calls us to stewardship and obedience. "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33 WEB). Your priority must be to seek God’s will above all else, and He will provide for your needs.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for our sister who is burdened by debt, anxiety, and the weight of her circumstances. Lord, You see her every need, and You know the desires of her heart. We ask that You would provide for her financially, according to Your riches in glory, so that she may clear her debts and start anew. But Father, we also ask that You would draw her close to You, that she may know Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to repent of any sin in her life and to turn away from anything that does not align with Your Word.

Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment for her as she navigates this season. Give her the strength to make decisions that honor You, whether in her finances, her relationships, or her future. We ask that You would soften the heart of the father of her child, that he would step up to his responsibilities with integrity and godliness. If it is Your will, bring a godly man into her life who will love her as Christ loves the church, but let it be in Your timing and according to Your design.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of anxiety and fear that has taken hold of her. We declare that she is not alone, for You are with her. Your Word says, "Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Help her to trust in You completely, knowing that You are her Provider and her Peace.

We also pray for the life growing within her. Lord, You knit this child together in her womb, and we ask that You would protect and bless this little one. Give her the strength and courage to choose life and to raise this child in the fear and admonition of the Lord, or to make the selfless decision to place the child with a godly family if that is what is best.

Father, we ask that You would break any chains of bondage in her life, financial, emotional, or spiritual. Let her experience Your freedom and the fullness of life that You offer. May she find her identity in You alone, and may she walk in the purpose You have for her.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is power in His name, and it is only through Him that we have access to You. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. May Your will be done in her life, and may she come to know You more deeply through this trial. Amen.

Sister, we urge you to seek godly counsel and community. Find a local church that preaches the truth of Scripture and can walk with you through this season. You do not have to face this alone. The Lord has placed believers in your life to support and encourage you, and we are praying that you would find that support.

Consider reaching out to a Christian pregnancy center or ministry that can provide practical help and guidance. They can assist you with resources, counseling, and even financial planning as you seek to honor God in this situation. Remember, the Lord is your Helper, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5-6).

Lastly, we encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word. Meditate on Scriptures that speak of His provision, His faithfulness, and His love for you. Here are a few to start with:
- "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19 WEB).
- "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want" (Psalm 23:1 WEB).
- "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).

You are not defined by your circumstances or your mistakes. You are a beloved child of God, and He has a plan for your life. Trust in Him, seek His face, and He will direct your steps. We are standing with you in prayer, believing that the Lord will move mightily on your behalf.

We hear how heavy this feels right now, the debt, the pregnancy news, the sleepless nights. It makes sense that it feels like everything is falling apart, because you are carrying a lot at once. Please do not try to carry it alone. We would gently encourage you to sit down with a wise older woman from your church, a pastor, or a local pregnancy resource center. They can help you sort through practical steps and connect you with real, steady support while you get your feet under you. And because the anxiety is stealing your sleep, please mention that to your prenatal care provider as well; they can help care for both you and your baby.

Father, we lift up our sister to You. You see the debts, the fear, the uncertain future, and the life growing inside her. Please give her wisdom for each next step. Provide for her in ways that free her from being crushed by this burden, and give her safe people to walk alongside her. Grant her rest, protect her health and dignity, and turn her heart toward Your steady care. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

The sleepless nights and the fear of debt are real, but you must see that anxiety has never yet put meal in the barrel or paid a single dollar. It unfits a woman to meet the very difficulty that presses upon her. Yet do not think the chief debt is the sum you owe to men. If you are outside Christ, you are in debt to divine justice, a debt no amount of money can discharge. That is the first debt to be cleared, and it is cleared only by repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

You speak of having always been in good control of your life; now the Lord has shown you that your own control is a broken reed. This is not cruelty on His part, but mercy, if it drives you to the Redeemer. Bring your trouble to the throne of grace and make the Lord Jesus your chief confidant. Tell Him all that lies heavy upon you, not as a mere form, but as a poor sinner casting herself upon His mercy.

Concerning the man who has not been forthcoming, I will not flatter you by calling your present arrangement good. The Scriptures hold that a woman belongs to a man only within the covenant of marriage, and a child is to be welcomed within that covenant. What has been done cannot be undone, but your duty now is to turn from all that was contrary to God's law, seek His forgiveness through the blood of Christ, and walk from this day in purity. Ask the Lord to give you wisdom for the child, and to provide your daily bread according to His mercy. Do not first seek a financial breakthrough; seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

Let us pray.

Almighty God, have mercy upon this soul who is heavy laden. Show her the depth of her need of Christ, forgive all her sins for His name's sake, and deliver her from the anxiety that eats away her peace. Provide for her and for the child she carries according to Your wisdom. Give her repentance, faith, and a new heart. If it be Your will, raise up godly help and lawful provision, but above all make her an heir of the kingdom, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thank you for sharing your burden so honestly with us. We have read your request and we are praying for you in this difficult season when debts press heavily, sleep is broken by anxiety, and an unexpected pregnancy has left you feeling that everything is falling apart.

God sees the weight you carry. Scripture speaks of how the expectant mother carries a particular burden and cannot easily flee from hardship, being bound by love and care for the life within her. He also sees your anxiety about money and the future, and He invites you to bring that anxiety to Him. As one of the homilies reminds us, anxiety scourges the soul more than outward troubles, but God sends His Word to bring freedom and to lift the soul to look up to Him.

We are praying for you, not that God would simply grant a specific sum of money on demand, but that He would provide for your true needs according to His wisdom and mercy, give you peace that guards your heart, and grant you health and strength in these weeks of pregnancy for both you and your child. Every child is made in the image of God, and even in difficult circumstances that life is precious to Him. We pray that He will surround you with wise and practical help, through your local church, family, medical care, and counselors who can walk with you step by step regarding finances, prenatal care, and support.

We also want to speak to you gently and truthfully in love about God's design. The Bible teaches that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that He offers forgiveness and a clean slate not through money but through His grace when we turn to Him in repentance and faith. It also teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and that sexual union belongs within that covenant. This is not to condemn you, but to show you the good and safe path God has made for our flourishing. Sex outside of marriage, and living together outside of that covenant, does not reflect His will, and we cannot ask God to bless what He has called us away from. What we can and do pray is that God would have mercy on you, forgive you as you confess your sins to Him, and give you strength to walk in purity and wisdom from this day forward. If you have not already, we encourage you to turn fully to Christ for forgiveness and new life, for there true abundance is found, far more than the forgiveness of a financial debt.

Regarding your boyfriend, we pray that God would work in both of your hearts, that he would act responsibly and honorably toward you and the child, and that you both would seek godly counsel about what is right before the Lord rather than simply continuing as before. A pastor or mature Christian woman in a faithful local church can help you think clearly about next steps, set healthy boundaries, and make decisions that honor God and protect you and your baby.

For your financial pressure, we pray for wisdom and provision, and we encourage you to seek practical help as well. Please speak soon with a trusted pastor or church leader about your debts and your pregnancy. Many churches have benevolence funds, financial counseling, and connections to pregnancy care ministries that offer material support, counseling, and community without cost. Bringing your budget, debts, and needs into the light with a wise helper can reduce anxiety and open a path toward stability. Continue to seek appropriate medical care and let others carry this burden with you. You do not have to face sleepless nights alone.

Here is our prayer for you:

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, have mercy on our sister. Forgive her sins and give her a clean heart through Your Son. Calm her anxious thoughts and give her sleep and peace as she casts her cares on You. Provide for her daily needs, give wisdom to those who counsel her, protect her and the child within her, and lead her in the way of life and holiness. Surround her with Your people who will support her practically and spiritually, and help her to trust not in her own control but in Your faithful care. Amen.

Please reach out to a Bible believing church near you this week and let them know your situation in person so they can help you directly. We will continue to pray that God gives you a clean slate in Christ first of all, and then guides you day by day into a more stable and hopeful future.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
