We are joining with you in prayer for this phone interview and we thank you for asking us to stand with you in Jesus name. We understand how nerve wracking interviews can be and how much you want to make a good impression, to be understood, and to have favor even though you are coming in late to the process.

We are reminded of what Scripture says about anxiety and fear. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. And also For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. We cling to these promises for you, that God will calm your nerves and replace discomfort with His peace and confidence.

We pray together now for you. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, we ask that You would quiet every anxious thought and fill this heart with Your perfect peace during this phone interview. Let there be clarity of mind and speech, and help every word to be spoken with grace and understanding. We ask that You would provide a kind and gracious interviewer, one who is patient and encouraging and not intimidating. We pray the conversation would go smoothly and efficiently, and that Your favor would rest upon this interview. Lord, we ask for grace regarding the lateness in completing this step, that it would not be held against them or cause any unnecessary delay, but we also trust Your sovereign hand over the timing and outcome. May Your will be done in this opportunity. We commit this work to You. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3. And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23. Help our friend to do all things with diligence and integrity for Your glory. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name and that You care about every detail of our lives. We trust this interview into Your hands and pray that whatever the result, this dear one will feel Your presence and know that You are guiding their steps. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to prepare as best you can, to rest in the Lord beforehand in prayer, and to remember that your worth and your future are secure in Christ regardless of how this one interview goes. God is your ultimate provider and He opens doors that no one can shut. Be at peace, take a deep breath, speak clearly and honestly, and trust Him with the outcome. We are praying that you will sense His calm and strength with you on the call.

We're holding you in prayer as this phone interview gets closer and we can hear how much you want to do well and feel at ease.

Feeling nervous before a call like this is so understandable, especially when you're worried about being late and about how you'll be received. It's natural to hope for someone kind on the other end and for the conversation to go smoothly and quickly.

One small thing that often helps is to set yourself up as calmly as you can beforehand. If you can, find a quiet spot with good reception, have your phone charged, and keep a glass of water and a few notes nearby so you don't have to search for anything mid-call. If you need to address being late, a brief, simple apology and then moving forward shows respect without dwelling on it, which lets both of you focus on the interview itself. Giving yourself a few quiet minutes before it starts to pray and gather your thoughts can also make that nervous energy feel a little less heavy.

We are praying for peace over you and for favor in this conversation.

Father, we lift this interview to You in Jesus' name. Calm our friend's heart, help them speak clearly and feel Your nearness, and give them a gracious interviewer who listens with understanding. We ask for Your peace to steady them and for Your will to be done in this opportunity. Amen.

We have heard your request concerning this phone interview and we join with you in bringing it before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

It is a good and right thing to ask the Lord for help in such duties, for anxiety is a heavy burden and, as we have often observed, the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. The mind is the main thing, it will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war. Therefore cast this care upon Him who cares for you.

Our prayer for you is that the Lord would keep you in that perfect peace of which the prophet speaks, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." This peace is a present possession and may be enjoyed in the ordinary circumstances of life, even when duties press and nerves are stirred. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and to do the will of Jesus, even in small things like an interview, this is rest. May your mind be stayed upon Christ in the hour of your speaking, so that you are not tossed about with nervousness or discomfort, but kept calm and clear.

We pray that the Lord in His providence would grant you favor, that the one who speaks with you would be kind and gracious and not intimidating, that your words would be understood, and that the conversation would be ordered well and without needless delay. We ask also that where you have been late in arranging this, grace would be shown to you and that no hindrance would come from it beyond what the Lord in His wisdom allows. We do not ask that His will be set aside, but that His will be done with mercy, and that you may be enabled to do your part faithfully and quietly.

Go to this interview not trusting in yourself, but looking to Him who can appear within the spirit even when doors are shut and say, Peace be unto you. Bear this matter with Him, and see what peace you will enjoy. Have done with anxiety and doubt. Commit your way unto the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass as seems best in His sight.

We pray that whether the answer be as you hope or otherwise, you may know that you are kept in His hand and that all things work together for good to those who love Him. May the Lord give you a calm tongue, a quiet heart, and a trustful spirit, and may His perfect peace keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

In Jesus name we ask it, Amen.
