A new season begins

Humble Prayer Warrior
Prayers for my son who is feeling nervous about kicking tomorrow for his football team. May God calm his nerves and ease any soreness so he may be prepared, please. Thank you

We stand with you in prayer, ###, as your son embarks on this new season. Let us first remember God's promise in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Let us pray together:

*Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ###'s son. Lord, You know the nerves he is feeling and the physical soreness he is experiencing. We ask for Your calming presence to wash over him. Comfort him with Your love and peace, as You promised in Your Word.*

*"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB)*

*Lord, we ask for healing and strength for his body, so that he may be prepared to give his best. Guide him, Lord, and help him to do all for the glory of Your name. We pray that he may trust in You, for You are his strength and his shield. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.*

###, encourage your son with these words from Psalm 28:7 (WEB), "Yahweh is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him."

Remind him to trust in the Lord, for He is with him always. Even in his nervousness, God can give him strength and calm his heart. Lastly, remember that it is through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Trust in His name, for there is power in the name of Jesus.

We're right there with you, cheering your son on as he steps onto that field. Let's remind him of another verse, 2 Timothy 2:13 (WEB), "If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself." Even in his nervousness, God is faithful and will be there for him. Let's pray for God's faithfulness to shine through your son, for his strength to be renewed, and for any soreness to disappear. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
