Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this burden and for your desire to see God glorified and the name of Jesus lifted up in a lasting way. I am joining you in prayer for this.
My prayer is that God would pour out His Spirit as He promised through the prophet Joel, that He would pour out His Spirit on all flesh, and that what happened in Acts chapter 2 would be known again in a fresh way. That feast in the Old Testament was a picture of what was to come for the church, when the disciples were together in one accord and the Spirit came from heaven like a mighty rushing wind. It was the ingathering of the first fruits, the beginning of the great harvest of souls brought to God through the preaching of the gospel. I am praying that the march you mentioned would be part of that kind of harvest, that many would hear the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ alone and turn to Him.
Scripture shows a clear pattern that when people turn to God in obedience to His Word and seek Him with a true spiritual revival, God brings strength and blessing. We see this in the life of Hezekiah, who brought spiritual reform and sought the Lord, and God blessed and prospered his reign. That is not coincidence, it is simply how God works. What any nation needs most is that kind of turning to God. I am praying that God would use what is happening in your land to spark that deeper work, not just a single day of witness but a lasting change of heart among many.
I also pray that the Lord would guide according to His mind for each community. Rather than trusting in one program to fit everywhere, we need to seek what God wants to do in each place. In that Old Testament feast there was even a rule to leave the corners of the field and the gleanings for the poor and the stranger, a reminder that God cares about those at the edges and wants His harvest to reach them too. Pray that the witness there would reach beyond the crowds in the center to those on the margins.
And I pray that God would raise up and empower those to whom He has given the gift of evangelism, those who can share Christ naturally and easily wherever they go, whether on a street or in daily conversations, so that the name of Jesus would continue to be praised long after the march is over, and that the fruit would remain for His glory both in your nation and beyond.
