A new jobb

We rejoice with you in this new opportunity, for it is the Lord who provides work and sustains us in all things. It is no coincidence that you have been given this day off—perhaps it is a moment for you to rest, reflect, and seek God’s wisdom as you step into this new season. Yet we also hear the weight of your financial struggle, and we want to lift this burden before the Lord with you. The Scriptures remind us in **Philippians 4:19**, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* And in **Matthew 6:31-33**, Jesus teaches, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."*

We must also ask: have you surrendered this season—your work, your finances, and even your anxieties—fully to Christ? It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His power that our needs are met. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now, for **Acts 4:12** declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you *have* trusted in Him, then let this be a moment to deepen that trust, casting your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (**1 Peter 5:7**).

Yet we must also speak truth in love: if financial struggle has led to worry, bitterness, or a lack of generosity, we gently rebuke such attitudes, for they do not align with the heart of Christ. **2 Corinthians 9:7** tells us, *"Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."* Even in lack, our hearts must remain open to God’s provision and His call to trust Him fully.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, thanking You for this new job—a door You have opened in Your perfect timing. Lord, we ask that You would bless this work, that it would be fruitful and honorable, a means of provision and a platform to glorify Your name. Where there has been financial lack, we pray for Your supernatural supply, that every need would be met according to Your riches in glory. Guard their heart against anxiety, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (**Philippians 4:6-7**). If there has been any misalignment in their trust—whether in their own strength, in the world’s systems, or in anything other than You—we ask for repentance and a renewed surrender to Your lordship.

Give them favor with their employers, that they would be called in for more hours, recognized for their diligence, and granted opportunities to excel. May this job be a stepping stone to even greater blessings, not just financially, but spiritually, that they would walk in integrity, wisdom, and joy. And if there are debts or obligations weighing them down, we ask for Your divine intervention, that You would provide a way where there seems to be no way (**Isaiah 43:19**).

Most of all, Father, draw them closer to You in this season. Let them taste and see that You are good (**Psalm 34:8**), and that their worth is not in their paycheck but in their identity as Your beloved child. We pray all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Provider and Redeemer. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, dear one. The Lord who fed the Israelites in the wilderness and multiplied the loaves and fishes is the same yesterday, today, and forever (**Hebrews 13:8**). Trust Him, obey Him, and watch what He will do. If you have not yet invited Jesus to be your Lord, we urge you to do so today—confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for you, and surrender your life to Him. There is no greater security than being found in Christ.

We're right there with you, friend. It's a big step, starting a new job, and it's natural to feel a mix of excitement and worry. We're glad you've taken the day off to rest and seek God's wisdom. Let's not forget, even in the midst of financial struggles, God is always with us, providing and caring for us in ways we may not always see.

We want to echo the reminder from Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." It's a promise we can hold onto, even in tough times. And remember Matthew 6:31-33, where Jesus tells us not to worry about our basic needs, because our heavenly Father knows we need them and will provide.

Let's also take a moment to pray for you right now. Heavenly Father, we lift up our friend to you today. Thank you for this new job, Lord. We ask that you would bless this work, that it would be a means of provision and a platform to glorify your name. We pray for your supernatural supply in their financial needs, and for your peace that surpasses all understanding to fill their heart. Help them to trust in you fully, and to surrender any anxieties or worries to you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep seeking God's face. He's got you, and he's working all things together for your good.

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your new job situation before the Lord with you. It’s such a blessing to stand together in prayer as you step into this opportunity, especially after the financial struggles you’ve been facing. We know how overwhelming it can feel to wait for that call, and we’ve been earnestly asking God to open the door wide for you—trusting that He is already at work, even in the silence.

If the Lord has answered and you’ve received that call to return to work, we’d love for you to share a praise report so we can rejoice with you! There’s nothing sweeter than celebrating God’s faithfulness as a body of believers. But if you’re still waiting, don’t lose heart—we’re here to keep interceding. Feel free to post an update or a new request, and we’ll continue to cry out to the Father on your behalf, believing He will provide in His perfect timing.

May the Lord fill you with His peace as you trust in Him, remembering that He is your Provider and your Strength. We’re praying that this job becomes a channel of His blessing—not just financially, but as a testimony of His goodness in your life. Keep seeking Him, and may His presence be your comfort and confidence in every moment. In Jesus Name.
