A little assurance

Anonymous

Beloved of All
To god and Jesus be the glory. Good afternoon. I am requesting a prayer for success opening a bank account. You see someone sent a check to me and it bounced. I had issues with a different bank because they would not use my phone number for verification and I reported them to the Commission because my deposits were held up for a month due to their actions. Shortly after I opened another account which politely closed my account stating I was a risk to banking!!! All because of my going to the Commisioner. I tried another bank and was declined because of no activity on a credit card. Can you imagine. How in the world can I have activity if I keep getting rejected can you please tell me? My god will perfect all that concerns me yes, but a little intercession can not hurt. Please and 🙏🏿

We hear your frustration and the challenges you’re facing in trying to establish stability with a bank account. Financial struggles can feel overwhelming, especially when it seems like doors keep closing despite your efforts. We want to assure you that God sees your perseverance and your desire to handle your affairs responsibly. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This includes the practical needs of daily life, such as a bank account to manage your finances.

First, we must address the importance of approaching these challenges with a spirit of wisdom and discernment. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." While it’s understandable to feel frustrated, we encourage you to seek God’s guidance in every step, including how you navigate interactions with banks and financial institutions. Sometimes, the Lord may be redirecting you toward a better path or teaching you patience and trust in His provision.

We also want to gently remind you of the power of forgiveness and grace in these situations. Holding onto bitterness or resentment toward the banks that have closed your accounts can weigh heavily on your heart. Colossians 3:13 says, "Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do." Releasing these burdens to God can free you to move forward with clarity and peace.

Now, let us come together in prayer for your situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your divine intervention in their financial struggles. Lord, You know the frustration and discouragement they have faced as they’ve sought to open a bank account. We ask that You would open doors that no man can shut and provide favor in the eyes of those who can assist them. Give them wisdom and discernment as they navigate this process, and surround them with people who can offer godly counsel and support.

Father, we pray for provision and stability in their finances. You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You would remove any obstacles standing in the way of them securing a bank account. If there are any areas where they need to extend forgiveness or seek reconciliation, we pray that You would soften their heart and guide them in that process.

Lord, we also pray for protection over their heart and mind. Guard them against discouragement, fear, or bitterness. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind them that You are their Provider and Protector. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your plans, knowing that You work all things together for their good.

We rebuke any spirit of lack or financial bondage in the name of Jesus. We declare that this one is not defined by their past struggles but by Your promises of provision and abundance. We speak favor, opportunity, and breakthrough over their life, and we thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to seek out local resources or organizations that may assist individuals in similar situations. Some banks offer "second chance" accounts for those who have had difficulties in the past, and nonprofit organizations may provide financial counseling or advocacy. Proverbs 15:22 reminds us, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Don’t hesitate to reach out to trusted believers in your community who may have wisdom or connections to share.

Lastly, we want to remind you that your worth and identity are not defined by your financial situation or the actions of others. You are a child of the Most High God, created with purpose and loved unconditionally. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Hold fast to this truth, and continue to seek God’s will in all things. He is faithful, and He will not leave you nor forsake you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We've been holding your request before the Lord and we can hear how worn down you must feel after one closed door after another. To do the right thing with a check, to ask for fair treatment, and then to be labeled a risk and turned away again would leave anyone asking how to move forward when the system feels stacked against you.

We join you in asking God to perfect what concerns you, and we are asking Him for wisdom and favor as you look for a place to bank. That cycle you described, needing activity to get approved but needing approval to build activity, is frustratingly common and it is not a reflection of your worth.

One practical step that often helps in a situation like this is to visit a local credit union or a nonprofit consumer credit counseling agency in person. They can often review your banking history report with you, explain why a denial happened, and point you toward second chance or basic accounts that are designed for rebuilding. Bringing your ID, any letters about the closures, and asking specifically about those options can make the conversation clearer.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus name. You see the need for a safe place for their money and the discouragement they carry. Grant them favor, clear guidance and peace as they take the next steps. Provide what is needed and lead them to people who will listen and help with care. Amen.

We have heard your request and have carried it before the Lord, and we join with you in giving glory to God and to Jesus Christ our only hope of salvation.

You speak of trials which would weary any honest heart, a bounced check, deposits held for a month, an account closed when you sought justice, and then another door closed for want of what you could not provide. It is no small burden to be tossed from one place to another when you seek only to do what is right and needful. Yet you have well said, the Lord will perfect that which concerneth you, for so the Psalmist declares, and our confidence is that He who has begun a good work in His people will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Take this comfort first, that there is an assurance higher than any assurance a bank can give. The final perseverance of the saints rests not upon our hold on Christ, but upon His hold on us. They shall never perish, for He has given unto them eternal life, and that life is immortal and cannot be withdrawn. The purpose of God secures it, the redemption of Christ effectually wrought secures it, and the promise stands, they shall not depart from me. If you are in Christ by faith, your standing before God does not depend upon the favor of men or institutions, but upon His covenant grace which cannot be broken.

And this same faith which lays hold on Christ for eternal things is to be exercised in temporal things also. Remember the woman of Canaan who would not be put back, but turned even the hard words into arguments for mercy, and pressed on until the Lord said, great is thy faith. So we would have you persevere in prayer, not as presuming upon God, but as trusting Him who invites suppliants to come boldly.

We have prayed for you, and do pray now, that the Lord in His providence would open a suitable door for this need, that He would grant you favor where you seek an account, that He would give you wisdom in dealing with those in authority, and patience under disappointment. We ask that He would provide for your honest necessities, guard you from all wrong, and supply what you need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We pray also that this trial may work in you a quiet perseverance in holiness and trust, knowing that even in these vexations God is forming and keeping His own.

Cast this care also upon Him, for He careth for you. Continue in prayer, continue in upright dealing, and rest in this, that whether the answer comes quickly or is delayed, the Lord has not forgotten you, and He will perfect all that concerneth you in His own time and way.

May the Lord grant you peace in Christ and a gracious provision for this present need.
