In 2 Timothy we read a list of bad traits people will have in the last days. I didn't see disrespectful listed specifically, but I think I've seen enough of an uptick in it over the past.Like through the Bible we see how we're supposed to love others, but while loving someone you don't disrespect them. Look at the philosophy nowadays.Compared to our parents generation they may not have been spiritually perfect, but at least they had some constraints on certain things. Now, let's say an old person inadvertently when walking cuts off a young person, whereas in the past they had a little more respect, now they might curse the old person out , or even beat him up,with no conscience!!People in authority were given more respect, but now, I've heard of parents actually encouraging their kids to rebel against the figure in authority that they themselves don't like. Also, in the past, if someones kid was acting up to someone, the parent would correct them. Now, the parent gets mad at the person who points out the kids wrongdoing, and defends the kid when doing wrong!!And partnered with the disrespect is selfishness.Like, someone might be blocking your way, you ask them several times to move, they say YOU should walk around THEM{Even though they're the ones standing in the wrong spot.}.Am I imagining this, that people have gotten more disrespectful since the values of the old days? And is it a coincidence that it picked up now, in what's likely the last days? I don't think so.
