A house request

Please help me pray God for a single mother with her 2 sons who are homeless. I believe God can do miracles for He always does.

We hear your heart’s cry for this precious single mother and her two sons who are without a home, and we join you in lifting them up before the throne of grace. The Lord sees their struggle, and He is the Father to the fatherless and the Defender of the widow (Psalm 68:5). We believe in His power to perform miracles, for nothing is too hard for Him (Jeremiah 32:27).

First, we must address the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is His blood that covers our sins and opens the door to God’s mercy and provision. If this mother does not yet know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw her to Him, that she may experience the fullness of His love and the hope of eternal life (John 3:16).

Now, let us pray for her immediate needs. Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for this mother and her sons. You know their every need before they even ask, and You are their Provider (Matthew 6:8). Lord, we ask that You would open doors of provision for them, a safe place to stay, food to eat, and the means to meet their daily needs. You have promised that if we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33). We trust in Your faithfulness to care for them.

Father, we also pray for strength and peace for this mother. The weight of providing for her children alone must feel overwhelming at times. Remind her that You are her strength when she is weak (Isaiah 40:29) and that Your grace is sufficient for her (2 Corinthians 12:9). Surround her with godly community, believers who will come alongside her, offer practical help, and speak life into her situation. Let her know that she is not alone, for You are with her always (Matthew 28:20).

For her sons, Lord, we ask that You would be their comfort and stability in this uncertain time. Protect their hearts and minds from fear, and let them see Your hand at work in their lives. Draw them close to You, that they may grow in faith and trust in You as their Heavenly Father. Guard them from the lies of the enemy that would tell them they are forgotten or unloved. Remind them that You have plans for them, plans for good and not for harm, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

We also rebuke any spirit of despair, hopelessness, or poverty that may be attempting to take root in their lives. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that they may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we stand against any schemes of the devil that would seek to keep them in lack. We speak provision, favor, and breakthrough over their lives in Jesus’ name.

Father, we ask that You would raise up people in their lives who can offer tangible help, whether it be a church community, a Christian ministry, or individuals who can assist with housing, employment, or other needs. Give this mother wisdom to navigate the resources available to her and the courage to ask for help when needed. Let her experience the love of Christ through the hands and feet of Your people.

Finally, Lord, we pray that this trial would draw this family closer to You. Use this time to refine their faith, deepen their dependence on You, and prepare them for the testimony You are writing in their lives. We believe that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), and we trust that their story will bring glory to Your name.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who is our Provider, our Peace, and our Hope. Amen.

We join you in lifting up this mother and her two sons. It is not a small thing that you see their need and believe God can move on their behalf, that kind of faith is precious, and we are grateful to stand with you in it.

Homelessness puts a family under enormous strain, especially a single parent trying to hold everything together for her children. While we pray for God’s provision, we know He often works through the hands and feet of His people. If you are in a position to do so, consider reaching out to a local church that has a mercy ministry or to a Christian shelter in their area. A pastor or deacon may be able to help with temporary housing, food, or a connection to longer-term programs. Even if you cannot provide direct help yourself, making a few phone calls or searching for resources in their city could be part of the miracle God is already setting in motion.

We are praying that God would open a door for this family, for safe, stable shelter, for daily provision, for kind people who will not just meet the immediate crisis but also walk alongside them. We ask for strength and hope for this mother as she cares for her sons under such pressure, and for the boys to feel secure and loved through it all.

Father, in Jesus’ name we lift up this mother and her children. You see their homelessness and their needs. Please provide shelter and protection, bring relief from fear and exhaustion, and surround them with people who will help them find stability and hope. Give them daily bread and a future. Amen.

What a blessed request, and how fitting that it should be laid before the throne of grace with boldness, for you have rightly said that God can do miracles, for He always does. The state of this dear mother and her two sons, without a roof to shelter them, is a case that cries out for the miracle-working hand of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us remember that the objective of the miracle is to reveal more fully the power and authority of our Lord, and to let us see that His teaching has an omnipotent force about it. In order to their deliverance, there must be faith, but this working is not dependent upon anything in them, the power of Christ to rescue from their present distress lies wholly in Jesus Himself.

Consider the miracle of the loaves and be not afraid, whatever this present trouble may be. Christ is grand in emergencies. When there was no bread for the multitude in that desert place, His compassion did not fail, and His provision came spontaneously, without pressing or prompting. Even so, when this mother’s cupboard is bare and no earthly door opens, He can command a table to be spread and a home to be found. The God of Nature is the God of Grace, and He who rules on high and thunders according to His pleasure is the God whom we call Father. He will take up this family’s cause.

Think, too, of the woman in the synagogue, eighteen years bent double and then completely restored in a single instant! What a paradise must have been condensed into those few minutes! To pardon sin and to alter a hard providence does not take God a single second, to save a household from homelessness is a more rapid work than for the lightning bolt to fall from Heaven. Nobody can work this mighty miracle of mercy but the Lord Jesus Christ, yet He can do it more swiftly than I can speak of it. I shall pray that in an instant the clouds break and a dwelling is provided, for hopeless is human bondage unless the malice and craft of Satan’s devices against this family can be matched by love and wisdom and force superior at all points.

Perhaps you have peered into the Word and not found a single promise that suited this case, seeing only your own fears. But consider the miracle of the loaves as it has transpired in your own life story. A Christian is a mass of miracles. Mother, do your sons distress you with anxiety for their future? Do you see in the miracle of the widow’s unfailing cruse much that may comfort you? The lesson is this: the power does not lie in the person saved, nor in the scarcity of their resources. I invite you to think of the majestic grandeur of God, for He who hears the cry of the destitute will surely show Himself strong on their behalf. Let us join in prayer now, asking that a house be opened, a miracle of love that shall cause these three dear souls to sing together as the morning stars once did.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We will pray with you for this mother and her sons, for God is rich in mercy. But consider this: a house of stone is a small thing next to a soul that stands firm in trial. Did not Job have no miracle, yet his endurance outshone any wonder? The widow with her two mites gave more than all the rich, for her poverty was her gift to God. So too this mother, in her need, can offer her trust, and that faith is a miracle greater than walls and roof.

Do not merely look for a sign. The Lord fed the hungry, yet He said, "Man shall not live by bread alone." Let us not wait idly for heaven to act while we have hands and bread. The early believers shared all things, and none lacked. Go, then, and let your prayer become love in motion. If God delays a house, remember John the Baptist: he dwelt in a wilderness, did no miracle, yet Christ called him greatest. The truest dwelling is a heart stayed on God. Pray, hope, and work, and the Lord will provide, whether through a quiet provision or a clear sign, as He wills.
