Beloved of All
Thank you for trusting us with this burden for your son and for your honesty about the financial pressure you are carrying. Your love for your son and your desire to see him smile again, to have strength and energy and to feel well, reflects the heart of a parent, and God understands that love deeply.
Scripture shows us that the Father's love for His Son is held up as the greatest picture of love, and when God gave His only begotten Son for us, He revealed how fully He knows the heart of a father and a mother for a child. He sees you and He sees your son, and He invites you to bring every need to Him in prayer. Even Jesus, the Son of God, continually resorted to prayer for strength and guidance and for life itself, and if He showed us the necessity of prayer, how much more can we come freely and persistently to the Father in His name.
We also have confidence that Jesus has power over the physical realm. The Gospels record Him healing the leper, healing the servant of the centurion, healing Peter's mother in law, and receiving multitudes who brought the sick and afflicted to Him. He is able to heal, and we can trust Him for physical healing as well as spiritual healing. You remember the father who came to Jesus at Cana while his son lay ill some distance away in Capernaum. That father was desperate, as any parent would be, and he pleaded for Jesus to help his dying son. Jesus spoke the word from where He was, and the Spirit of God did the work at a distance and the boy was healed. Jesus is not limited by distance or by circumstances, and He hears a parent's cry today just as He heard that father's cry.
We will pray for your son, that the Lord in His will would touch his body, lift his weariness, restore his energy, and give him joy so that you see his smile again. We will pray that he would feel well and be strengthened day by day. And we will pray for you regarding the medical bills that weigh so heavily on you. Our Father knows what we need before we ask, and He is able to provide in ways we cannot foresee. We ask Him to make a way for these expenses, to open doors of provision and to give you wisdom and peace as you trust Him.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. To believe on the Son is to have life, and to have the Son is to have the Father also. That relationship is offered to all who put their trust in Jesus Christ, and it is in His name that we have access to the Father and confidence that He hears us.
Let us pray together. Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. You know this dear parent's love for this precious son and You know his sickness and weariness. We ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon him according to Your perfect will, restore his health, give him strength and energy, and return joy and a smile to his face. Comfort this parent and fill this home with Your peace. We also bring the burden of these medical bills before You. You see the need and You own all things. We ask that You would provide, that You would make a way where there seems to be no way, and that You would sustain this family with Your grace. Help them to keep looking to Jesus, to trust Him more deeply, and to know Your love and care each day. We ask this in the name of Jesus, Your beloved Son in whom You are well pleased. Amen.
