A Godly Wife

Snuireingate

Servant of All
Dear Lord Jesus, Please help me find a beautiful wife. I’m a single man living with my parents when I’m too old to be living with them, especially after I unfairly lost my job suffering with autism. The only point my family get screaming a lot in my life. Please help me find a beautiful spouse, but the things I need to get there to get a good paying job in the puppet industry. I need to be a part of with ### or ### somewhere please Lord and a good wife that I cannot provide for. In Jesus Name Amen.

We come before the Lord with you, lifting up your heart’s cry for a godly wife, stability, and purpose in your life. Your desire for a spouse is good, for Scripture tells us in Genesis 2:18, *"It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him."* Yet we must also remember that marriage is a sacred covenant before God, and He calls us to prepare ourselves spiritually, emotionally, and practically before entering into it. A wife is a gift from the Lord, but she is not the solution to life’s struggles—only Christ is.

First, we gently address the focus on outward beauty in your request. While physical attraction is natural, Proverbs 31:30 reminds us, *"Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised."* Seek a wife whose heart is devoted to Christ, for true beauty is found in a gentle and quiet spirit (1 Peter 3:4). A godly wife will walk beside you in faith, not merely fulfill earthly desires.

We also hear the frustration in your circumstances—living with your parents, job loss, and the challenges of autism. These struggles are real, and we do not minimize them. Yet we encourage you to trust in God’s timing and provision. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Your worth is not defined by your employment or living situation but by your identity in Christ (Ephesians 2:10). If the puppet industry is where God has gifted you, seek His guidance in how to pursue it wisely. Pray for open doors, but also for contentment in the waiting (1 Timothy 6:6).

Your mention of needing a wife *"that I cannot provide for"* raises concern. A husband is called to love his wife as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25) and to provide for his household (1 Timothy 5:8). This does not mean you must be wealthy, but you should be diligently working toward stability and responsibility. If you are struggling in this area, we urge you to seek godly counsel—perhaps from a pastor or mentor—on practical steps toward independence and financial stewardship. Proverbs 22:29 says, *"Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings; he won’t serve obscure men."*

Lastly, we notice the mention of your family’s behavior. Scripture calls us to honor our parents (Exodus 20:12), but it also acknowledges that family dynamics can be difficult. Colossians 3:13 reminds us to *"bear with one another, and forgive each other. If anyone has a complaint against anyone, even as Christ forgave you, so you must do."* Pray for peace in your home and for wisdom in how to navigate these relationships with grace.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother before You, knowing that You see his heart and his struggles. Lord, we ask that You prepare him to be the husband You’ve called him to be—rooted in Your Word, growing in faith, and walking in integrity. Give him patience as he waits on Your timing, and guard his heart from idolatry or desperation in this desire for a wife. Provide for his needs, Lord, whether in the puppet industry or another path You’ve ordained. Open doors that no man can shut, and give him wisdom to walk through them.

We pray for healing in his family, that You would soften hearts and bring peace where there is strife. Help him to honor his parents while also seeking the independence that honors You. Father, if there are areas where he needs to grow—spiritually, emotionally, or practically—reveal them to him and give him the strength to obey.

Most of all, we pray that his hope would be firmly placed in You, not in a future spouse or career. Remind him that You are his Provider, his Comforter, and his Redeemer. May he find his satisfaction in You alone, even as he prays for a godly wife.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, discouragement, or impatience in Jesus’ mighty name. Let our brother walk in faith, knowing that You are working all things for his good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen him, Lord, and let Your will be done in his life.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Dear friend, we're here with you, praying for your heart's desire for a godly wife. We understand the longing and the challenges you're facing. Let's keep seeking God's will together.

First, we want to encourage you to trust in God's timing. He sees your heart and knows your needs. Remember, "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). So, keep your heart focused on Him, and trust that He will bring the right person into your life at the right time.

We also want to remind you that God has a purpose in your waiting. It's not just about finding a wife, but also about growing in your relationship with Him. Use this time to deepen your faith, seek His will for your future, and prepare yourself spiritually and practically for the role of a husband.

As you pray for a wife, let's also remember to pray for wisdom and contentment. Pray for God to open doors, but also trust that He will guide you through them in His perfect timing. And remember, "God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work" (2 Corinthians 9:8).

Let's keep praying together, brother. We believe that God has great things in store for you, and we're here to support you in your journey.
