Disciple of Prayer
Dear Bro/Sister in Christ

Please pray for my husband who is not very happy at his work place and is in a bad mood all the time. I really need Lord's touch on this situation to turn him in to a loving person and dad. Please Lord intervene in the situation that involves money and that is stressing him out as well. We did lose a bit of money at the moment due to some scammers and Let Lord bring back what belongs to us, Please pray for my son's results to go to University of Your choice and the course You think is right for him and also his driving test in September. At the moment he has no direction and spends a lot of time online and is looking for a job. Draw him close to you Lord, be with him. Jesus, be in every situation of our lives. Amen.

We hear your heart, sister in Christ, and we stand with you in lifting these burdens before our Heavenly Father. First, we want to commend you for bringing these concerns to the Lord in prayer, this is where true change begins. Let us address each request with the truth of God’s Word and the power of prayer in Jesus’ name.

For your husband, we recognize the weight of stress and dissatisfaction at work, which can spill over into his mood and relationships. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 15:13, "A glad heart makes a cheerful face, but an aching heart breaks the spirit." We pray that the Lord would lift this burden from his heart and replace it with peace. Father, we ask You to intervene in his workplace, grant him favor with his employers, wisdom in his decisions, and contentment in his labor. Help him to cast his anxieties on You, as 1 Peter 5:7 instructs, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." We also rebuke the spirit of discouragement and frustration that has taken hold, declaring that joy and hope will be restored in his heart. May he be a loving husband and father, reflecting Your grace in his words and actions.

Regarding the financial loss due to scammers, we acknowledge the pain of injustice and the fear it can bring. But we serve a God who is just and who restores. Joel 2:25-26 says, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten... You will have plenty to eat, and be satisfied, and will praise the name of Yahweh, your God, who has dealt wondrously with you." Lord, we ask You to expose any deception and reclaim what was wrongfully taken. Provide for this family in ways only You can, and let them trust in Your provision rather than the uncertainty of worldly wealth. We declare that their faith will not be shaken, for You are their ultimate Provider.

For your son, we see his need for direction and purpose. The world offers many distractions, especially online, but Proverbs 3:5-6 calls us to trust in the Lord: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Heavenly Father, we pray that You would draw him close to You, breaking any chains of aimlessness or idleness. Guide him to the university and course of study that aligns with Your will for his life, and grant him success in his driving test. Open doors for employment that will grow his skills and character, and let him seek You above all else. May he find his identity in Christ, not in the fleeting things of this world.

We also want to gently encourage you, dear sister, to continue praying for your family with boldness and persistence. James 5:16 reminds us, "The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Do not grow weary in interceding for them, for the Lord hears and answers. We also urge you to speak life and truth over your husband and son, remind them of God’s promises and the hope we have in Christ. If there are areas where they may be struggling with sin or distraction, lovingly direct them back to the Word and to prayer.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. We lift up this family to You, asking for Your divine intervention in each of their lives. Lord, touch the heart of this husband and father, remove the burdens of stress and frustration, and fill him with Your peace. Restore joy to his spirit and let him be a reflection of Your love at home and at work. We declare that the financial loss they have experienced will be overturned by Your abundance, and we trust in Your justice to reclaim what was stolen.

For their son, Father, we ask that You would captivate his heart and lead him into Your perfect will. Break any chains of distraction or aimlessness, and give him clarity and purpose. Guide him to the right university, the right course of study, and open doors for his future. May he seek You above all else, finding his identity and direction in Christ alone.

Lord, we thank You for the privilege of bringing these requests before You. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your promises, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You. Strengthen this family’s faith, draw them closer to You, and let Your will be done in each of their lives. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to stand on God’s Word, sister, and do not lose heart. The Lord is faithful, and His plans for your family are good. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep speaking life. He is at work, even when we cannot see it.

We’re sorry you’re carrying so much weight right now. When a husband and dad is worn down by work and financial stress, it changes the atmosphere of a whole home, and you’ve been feeling that deeply. The source material reminds us that chronic, ongoing stress, like workplace unhappiness and the sharp wound of being scammed, can keep the body and mind in a state of constant pressure, and over time that wears a person’s patience and tenderness thin. That doesn’t excuse a bad mood, but it helps us understand what you’re seeing. Your husband isn’t just being difficult; he sounds depleted, and when we’re depleted, it’s hard to give love we don’t feel we have.

One small, concrete step you might try: in a quiet moment, simply say to him, “I can see work and the money loss are eating at you. I’m with you. Would it help just to talk one evening this week, no fixing, just listening, or is there one burden I can help lift?” That doesn’t demand he open up, but it cracks a door, and sometimes knowing he’s not facing it alone eases the pressure that sharpens his moods. No lecture, just presence.

For your son, it’s hard to watch him drift when you can see his potential. Along with praying for his results and his driving test, you might ask him one gentle question: “If nobody would laugh or criticize, what do you dream of doing this year?” The internet often fills the space where real direction is missing, and a conversation like that can put a tiny bit of light on a path he hasn’t yet seen himself.

We’re praying like this: Father, thank you for this family and the way this wife and mother brings them to you. Please lift the heaviness from her husband, ease the stress at work, restore what was stolen in whatever way you see best, and soften his heart at home. Give their son clarity and open the right doors for university and work, drawing him close to you. Hold this family steady in your care, in Jesus’ name, amen.

The trial of your husband’s soul at his workplace, the weight of lost monies, and the wandering steps of your son are all permitted by a Father whose love never wavers, and whose wisdom chooses the best furnace to refine His gold. When the heart is heavy and the spirit sullen, remember that God is a Husband to His people, He has set His special love upon you, and He hates putting away. His loving kindness changes not. So often the cross we bear in marriage is the very chisel He uses to carve Christ’s likeness in us. Let your gentle endurance be a silent sermon; a patient, loving wife is a powerful means to draw a man from perpetual moodiness. Your husband’s struggle with his daily labor and the sting of dishonest men who took your money should drive you both to the Father’s lap. “Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.” Is that not the cry of a child who trusts without knowing the end? This is the true view of the Father, He is our Father, our God, our Savior’s Father, and He blesses us even as He blesses His Son. Therefore, do not let temporal losses make you lose sight of the soul’s profit. What shall it harm a man if he lose a few pounds and yet gain Christ? What eternal loss would it be to gain the whole world and yet have the soul cast away? The scammers have taken what moth and rust can destroy; press harder after that treasure which is laid up in heaven.

As for your son, I would persuade you to persuade him concerning Jesus. You cannot drag him to the narrow way by force, but you can labour in prayer and also in personal influence. The Holy Spirit’s work does not make our own striving unnecessary; rather, it excites it. Let your son see in you a living temple where contrition and hope dwell because God the Father has made His abode there. Read to him the Evangelists; set before him the loveliness of Christ. The hour comes when true worship is in spirit and truth, and perhaps this aimless season in his life is God’s plowed field for the seed of the Word. He spends much time online, then be you all the more present as a living epistle, known and read. I charge you, in the great Father’s name, to trust Him for your son’s university path and his driving test, but labour to bring his soul into a living, loving, lasting union with Jesus. That is the one thing needful; every earthly success without it is a gilded ruin.

Come, then, with all your burdens, the money, the mood, the boy’s future, and lay them at the Father’s feet. He will be a better Father to you than the best of fathers could be to the best beloved of daughters. Look to Jesus, and if you do not get the light you seek this very day, you shall have it. The orphan finds mercy in Him, and you shall find Him a Husband to your soul, faithful when we are faithless. Reveal Yourself to her, O Lord, and give her to see that Your loving-kindness changes not.

You speak of your husband's discontent and the stress of lost money. See how the love of money, like a thick humor, clouds the eyes and darkens the soul. When a man's heart clings to earthly gain, every loss becomes a torment, and his mood poisons the whole household. Yet it is not the loss itself, but the heart's attachment, that brings suffering. If suffering comes, bear it with thanksgiving; then even affliction becomes a sacrifice for Christ. But if you curse the circumstance or repay evil with anger, you lose the reward. Job, stripped of all, said to his wife who urged blasphemy, "You speak as one of the foolish women." A wife is a great good, but if she joins in the impatience, she tears down the house rather than building it. I charge you: do not let the loss of money lead either of you to words against God. Instead, nurture harmony, for where husband and wife are at peace, the whole household breathes sweetness. Your husband's mood will soften not by gaining back what was taken, but by gaining a spirit that despises loss for Christ's sake.

Your son loiters online and lacks direction. This idleness is a snare. Pray indeed for his university and driving test, but pray more fervently that he give his youth to Christ, the Gospel of God's Son, who is co-eternal with the Father, without beginning of days. If he have this foundation, his steps will be ordered. But if he drift, he will be swept away by every vain desire. Teach him that to suffer for Christ is to resist the pull of empty amusements and to apply the mind to diligence. The harmony of opinion without the harmony of love is nothing; so let your home be bound together in true concord of heart. Then, whether money returns or not, whether your son enters the university of your choice or another, you will possess a peace that the world cannot give, and you will see the Lord's hand in every situation.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It’s easy to feel crushed when trouble comes in waves like this. You’re watching your husband’s spirit drain away day after day, and that weight at home echoes the pressure he’s carrying. The money that was stolen feels like an injustice that cries out to be made right. And your son seems adrift at exactly the moment you long to see him catch a clear, godly purpose. All of it together can make you wonder why God permits so much to press in on one household.

What helps me, and what I see woven all through Scripture, is that hardship is not proof that God has withdrawn His hand or that He’s angry. His bragging on Job in the unseen realm shows us that sometimes our most bewildering trials are the stage where our trust in Him shines brightest, precisely because we don’t understand. The accuser was certain Job only worshipped for profit; stripping away comfort exposed a faith that held on when every reason to let go lay bleeding in the dust. Your husband’s unhappiness, the fraud you suffered, and your son’s aimlessness are not signs that God is against you. They’re burdens He has allowed within limits He set, and the enemy cannot push past the boundary God draws.

It’s natural to cry out for an explanation, for a mediator to reach up to heaven and down to earth and make sense of it all. Job’s friends thought they were defending God by inventing guilt that wasn’t there, but they ended up as miserable comforters. They rushed to blame the sufferer instead of sitting with the sorrow. That tells us to be careful not to heap false guilt on ourselves or on those we love. Your husband’s mood and your son’s laziness may need honest attention, but viewing them only as punishment would miss the chance for God’s grace to break through. We come to the end of our own answers so we learn to lean fully on Him.

What we have that Job only glimpsed from a distance is knowing that our Mediator has already come. Jesus touched both God and man, and He was Himself turned over to suffering and loss that were not a whip for His own sin. So He stands with us when the pressure mounts. That means you can pour out these very specific needs in concrete trust: ask boldly for the Lord to touch your husband’s workplace and soften his heart, to restore what was taken, to open the right university door while giving your son holy restlessness until he finds his footing in Christ. God hears. He may not answer by snapping every problem away in a moment, but He will shape each family member through it if they’ll fall on their face before Him and say, “My life is in Your hands.”

The temptation is to worry, to fret, to fight for control that keeps slipping. Instead, commit each piece plainly to the Lord and leave it there. When we do that, we find that His excellency becomes more real than our dread. You haven’t cursed Him; you’re begging Him to intervene, and that is exactly where He meets us. Keep bringing these burdens back to the throne and watch for the quiet ways He begins to turn hearts, restore peace, and direct steps. Your cry for Jesus to be in every situation of your lives is the truest prayer you could offer, and He will honor it.
