We have heard your heart and we join you in bringing all of this before the Lord together in Jesus name. You have walked through great loss, the breaking of your home and your heart when you were left, the loss of the life you built together, the home you furnished and saved for with such diligence, your schooling and your dreams, and now you are asking God for restoration, for provision, for work, for a godly marriage, and for healing in how you see yourself. We want to pray with you and also gently share truth from Scripture so that your desires can be aligned with God's will.

You quoted Psalm 37:4, Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. This is a precious promise, and we rejoice that you delight in Him. We also remember that delighting in the Lord means seeking Him first, and then He shapes our desires to match His good will for us. Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. When we delight in Him, the desires He gives us are those that honor Him and lead to lasting joy.

We hear your longing for a good man, a Boaz, one who is in your league and evenly yoked. This is a godly desire. Scripture commands us in 2 Corinthians 6:14, Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity, or what fellowship has light with darkness. We strongly endorse marriage as God designed it, a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman as seen in Genesis 2:24 and Matthew 19:6, and we encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer in Christ, not simply a boyfriend or partnership. If there was cohabitation or sexual intimacy outside of marriage in the past relationship you described, where you shared a home and life together as a team, we must lovingly say that Scripture calls sex before or outside of marriage fornication and calls us to purity. Hebrews 13:4 says, Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. And 1 Corinthians 6:18 says, Flee sexual immorality. God forgives and restores when we confess and turn to Him, and He desires that future relationships be built on holiness and commitment.

You mentioned being left for another person who looked like a man, and that you were told it was because of your body. We do not know all the details where names were redacted, but we must speak the truth in love that God created marriage for a man and a woman, and that same sex relationships are forbidden and called homosexuality in Scripture. Leviticus 18:22 and Romans 1:26-27 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 make this clear. If that was part of your wound, we grieve that sin and brokenness hurt you so deeply, and we pray you will find healing in God's design and truth.

We also hear your deep pain about your body, your legs and figure, your desire for flexibility, for toned legs, for jeans that fit, for butt implants and plastic surgery like the Kardashians and stars, believing that a more attractive body will make a man stay and will break what you called a generational curse and bad luck. We understand how being left can wound confidence and make you feel disfigured and not enough, but we must lovingly rebuke the idea that your worth or your ability to keep a godly marriage comes from outward appearance, and that you must look like the world to be loved. Proverbs 31:30 says, Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears Yahweh shall be praised. And 1 Peter 3:3-4 says, Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing, but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 teaches, and we are to honor God with our bodies through health and modesty and self control, not through vanity or conforming to the world's sensual image. Romans 12:2 says, Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Exercise and health to walk and run and be strong is good stewardship, but trusting in surgical alteration to secure love will not bring the security you long for. Only Christ can make you secure. Psalm 139:14 says you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

You also spoke of a hereditary curse that you cannot be toned or flexible or keep a man. In Christ, that curse is broken. Galatians 3:13 says, Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. And 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. Bad luck is not your identity. You are not cursed when you are in Jesus. God does not want you living in fear of inheriting failure, but in faith as His daughter.

You said the Lord told you No after you were left, and that His thoughts are higher than yours. That is true and wise to respect. Isaiah 55:8-9 says, For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. His No is protection and redirection, not rejection. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

We also hear your desire for provision, for full time or part time work, for your businesses to be successful, for needs to be met again, for the American dream and family time and home you once had. God cares about your daily needs. Philippians 4:19 says, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And 1 Corinthians 15:58 reminds us that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. We pray for diligence and contentment as you work, and for God to open doors according to His will.

We thank you for mentioning the blood of Jesus, for we only have access to the Father through Jesus Christ. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. And Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already placed your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing He died for your sins and rose again, we urge you to do so today, for that is the foundation of every other prayer.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You for our sister. We thank You that You see her heart, her tears, her hard work through beauty school, her saving and building a home, her love for family and for her cats and her desire to do good. We ask You to heal her broken heart as Psalm 147:3 promises that You heal the broken in heart and bind up their wounds. Comfort her where she was abandoned and restore her confidence not in outward appearance but in Christ.

Lord, we ask that You forgive any sexual immorality or cohabitation outside of holy marriage, and wash her clean by the blood of Jesus. Give her a renewed mind about purity and relationships, and lead her to a godly husband, a Boaz, a faithful Christian man who fears You and will love her as Christ loves the church and stay in covenant marriage for life. Help her to court with wisdom, evenly yoked, guarding her body and heart until marriage.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of vanity and the lie that she must have surgery or look like the world to be worthy of love. Help her to steward her body with health, strength and modesty for Your glory, to be flexible and healthy as You enable her, but to find her beauty first in a gentle and quiet spirit that fears You. Break every false thought of a generational curse, for she is a new creation in Christ and redeemed from the curse.

Lord, we ask for Your provision for work and business. Open doors for full time or part time employment that fits Your calling on her life, bless the work of her hands, and supply every need. Let her labor not be in vain, and teach her contentment and joy in You whether at Disneyland or at home, whether with little or much.

We thank You that Your thoughts are higher than ours and that Your No is loving protection. Give her peace to move forward without drama or chaos, with positive energy rooted in Your Spirit, not looking backward but pressing forward to what You have for her. Heal memories of past hurts and let her walk in Your delight, trusting that as she delights in You, You will give her the desires that align with Your perfect will.

We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior, amen.

We encourage you to remain in prayer, in the Word daily, and in fellowship with a Bible believing church where you can be discipled and where a godly spouse may be found in the Lord's timing. Guard your heart, flee from sexual immorality, steward your body with honor, and trust that God will provide for your needs and lead you to the good future He has planned. Jeremiah 29:11 says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Keep delighting in Him, and He will direct your steps.

Thank you for sharing so much of your story with us. We hear how hard you have worked through beauty school, saving for your home and furnishings, caring for family and pets, and building a life you were proud of. Losing that home and the future you had planned, and going through the hurt of being left, is a lot to carry. It makes sense you would long for stability again, for meaningful work, and for a loving, faithful companion.

We also hear how much you want to feel confident and at peace in your own body again, and to be seen and chosen well. Wanting to feel attractive and healthy is understandable, and the pressure to change how you look to keep love can feel very heavy. Your worth before God is not measured by a body shape or by whether a relationship stays, even when heartbreak makes it feel that way.

One steady next step that could help is to talk through these big hopes with one trusted person in person, perhaps a pastor or a counselor at your church, who can walk with you as you think about work, next steps for your business, and what a healthy future relationship could look like. If you are considering surgery, it is also wise to talk that through with a qualified medical professional alongside prayer, so you have clear information as you seek wisdom.

Father, we bring our sister to You in Jesus' name. We ask for Your comfort over past loss and disappointment, for provision and direction for work and daily needs, and for wisdom and peace as she makes decisions about her body and future. Guard her heart, remind her she is deeply loved by You, and lead her step by step in Your good way. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have read your prayer with much care and tenderness, and we have brought it before the Lord with you. There is in your words a deep ache over what was lost, a home and work and love that you labored for, and a longing for what is yet to come, for provision and for a faithful companion to walk with you in the ways of the Lord.

You quote Psalm 37:4, to delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. That delight is itself the first blessing. When the heart is set upon Christ, its desires are shaped by His hand. High thoughts of God beget hope in the soul and hope leads to confidence, and confidence brings assurance. To delight in Him is not to claim every wish as a promise to be fulfilled at once, but to find Him to be your portion, so that what you desire most is more of Him, and all other desires are weighed in His wisdom and love. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and when He says No, it is not without reason, for He sees what we cannot see and withholds what would harm us and prepares what will heal us.

We hear your need for daily provision, for steady work whether full time or part time, and for your businesses to prosper by honest labor. The Lord does not forget work that is done in love. Your labor is not in vain in the Lord. We pray that He who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows will open doors of employment suited to your gifts, and establish the work of your hands, and give you contentment and diligence as you wait upon Him.

We hear also your desire for a husband, a good man, a Boaz, one who is evenly yoked in faith. Scripture teaches us not to be unequally yoked together with unbelievers, for the yoke of Christ is not hard to those who love Him, but to reject it brings many sorrows. An unbelieving husband was your choice, you thought the yoke was hard, and how have you found it since. So we pray not simply for any companion, but if it be the Lord's will, for a godly man who fears God and will love you as Christ loves His church, within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, where love is faithful and pure and abiding. We do not ask God to bless what is outside that holy bond, but we do ask Him to keep you in purity and patience, to guard your heart, and to make you steadfast in obedience while you wait, knowing that there is a mysterious union between Christ and His people which is better than any earthly union, and from which no true good is withheld.

Concerning your body and your sense of worth, you speak of wanting to be attractive and confident, to be no longer disfigured in your own eyes, to be toned and strong and able to walk and run with joy. The Lord knows how the wounds of the body and the wounds of the soul pierce us, and how we are quick to seek a physician for the body while the soul also needs healing. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His blood heals the conscience and His grace renews the nature. In Christ the curse is broken, for He was made a curse for us, and those who are in Him are new creatures. You do not need to inherit a generational curse of striving or rejection, for in Jesus you inherit forgiveness and adoption.

We would gently counsel you that your value before God and before a faithful man is not secured by the shape of your legs or any work of the surgeon. The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, to be cared for with health and modesty and strength, not despised and not worshiped. True beauty is seen in the fear of the Lord, which gives strong confidence, a confidence that does not lessen in time of trouble. We pray that you may grow in health through sober habits, wholesome labor, and, if you seek to be more flexible or fit, through patient and safe exercise under wise counsel, rather than through hasty or harmful means. We will not ask God to bless a plan to obtain implants or surgeries to keep a man, for no man worth keeping is kept by such things, and no surgery can give the peace that comes from knowing you are loved and chosen in Christ. We pray instead that He will clothe you with strength and dignity, lift the shame you feel, and let you see yourself as He sees you, fearfully and wonderfully made, and that He will teach you to walk in that confidence.

We pray for you, for your family and for your household, including your beloved cats, that the Lord will keep you in positive and quiet paths, far from drama and chaos, and give you a better lifestyle that stays, rooted in His peace.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, our Defender who lives, have mercy upon this your child. Forgive sin through the blood of Jesus Christ, your Son, through whom alone is salvation, and heal the brokenness of heart and body. Dwell with her and let the Sun of Righteousness rise upon her with healing in His wings. Provide for her daily bread, prosper honest work, and make her to delight in You above all else. If it be Your good will, bring into her life a faithful, godly husband with whom she may walk in purity and covenant love, but above all be Yourself her Husband and portion. Teach her to fear You, and so to have strong confidence, and to know that her worth is in Christ. Keep her from chasing what would injure her, and give her contentment, health, and joy in Your presence, until that day when the body sown in weakness is raised in power. In Jesus name we ask it, Amen.
