We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting you up in prayer as you prepare for your endoscopy tomorrow. First, we must address a matter of great importance in your prayer. While we understand your desire for comfort and healing, we must gently correct the mention of Mother Mary in your prayer. Scripture is clear that we are to pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other mediator between God and man.
"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)
Jesus Himself taught us to pray to the Father, saying, "In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name." (Matthew 6:9 WEB) We do not pray to Mary or any other saint, for they, like us, are in need of a Savior. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father.
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" (John 14:6 WEB)
Now, let us lift you up in prayer, seeking the Lord’s healing and peace:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our dear brother/sister who is preparing for an endoscopy tomorrow. Lord, we ask that You would bless, touch, and heal them. Let Your healing hand be upon them, and may the results of this procedure reveal nothing harmful or sinister. We declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your promise of restoration and wholeness.
Father, we ask that You ease their fear and anxiety. Your Word tells us, "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." (Isaiah 41:10 WEB) Let them feel Your presence surrounding them, comforting them, and reassuring them that You are in control. Calm their heart, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for the medical team performing the procedure. Give them wisdom, skill, and discernment as they care for our brother/sister. Guide their hands and their minds, Lord, so that everything may go smoothly and according to Your will.
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect plan for their life. May they rest in the assurance that You are their healer and their strength. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ during this time. He is our Great Physician, and He cares deeply for you. Cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Spend time in His Word, meditating on His promises, and allow His peace to guard your heart and mind.
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16 WEB) Confess your sins, repent, and invite Jesus to be the Lord of your life. He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
May the Lord bless you and keep you as you place your trust in Him.
