We join you in lifting up your precious ### year old mum before the throne of grace and we stand with you in this difficult season as you care for her. We know life is not easy, especially when watching a parent grow frail, and we thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

We are reminded of the promise in Isaiah 46:4, and even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs will I carry you. I have made, and I will bear; yes, I will carry, and will deliver. And also Psalm 71:9, Don't reject me in my old age. Don't forsake me when my strength fails. Your mum is not forgotten by God in her old age and weakness. He sees her kidneys weakening and He sees the confusion of dementia, and He holds her in His everlasting arms as Deuteronomy 33:27 says, The eternal God is your dwelling place. Underneath are the everlasting arms.

We also hear your burden as a caregiver. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. We pray that you will find that rest even while you carry this heavy responsibility.

We pray together for wisdom for the doctor tomorrow. Scripture tells us in James 1:5, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. We ask God to guide the doctor's mind and hands, to give clear discernment as he reviews her blood test results and her medications, to know what to continue, what to adjust, and what to stop so that her kidneys would be protected and her body strengthened. We pray for mercy over her kidneys and her mind, knowing that God is our healer as Psalm 103:2-3 says, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases.

Let us pray. Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this dear mum to You. You know her by name, You formed her, and You have carried her for ### years. We ask for Your healing touch upon her kidneys, that You would sustain their function and slow any further decline. We ask for Your grace over her mind as dementia affects her, that You would bring peace to her and keep her safe from fear and confusion. Lord give the doctor supernatural wisdom tomorrow, guide every decision regarding her treatment and medications, and let no harmful interaction go unnoticed. Father, we also lift up her child who loves and cares for her, strengthen them when they are weary, give them peace that passes understanding, and remind them daily that You are near to the brokenhearted. We trust her life into Your sovereign and loving hands, knowing Your will is perfect. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We hear how heavy this season has been for you, watching your mum at ### face both dementia and weakening kidneys, and now waiting for tomorrow's appointment with those worrying blood results in hand. It is a lot to carry, and we are praying with you.

We join you in asking God to give her doctor clear wisdom tomorrow as he reviews her medications and decides next steps for her kidneys. Appointments can feel rushed, so one small thing that often helps is to bring a written list of all her current medications and doses, plus two or three questions you most want answered, and if possible have someone with you to write down what the doctor says. That way nothing important slips by when you are tired or anxious.

Life is not easy right now, and caring for a parent with dementia brings its own daily grief and fatigue. Please know you are not alone in this, and God sees both your love for your mum and the weariness you feel.

Father, we lift this dear mum to You and ask for Your mercy and care over her tomorrow. Give her doctor wisdom and clarity as he reviews her results and medications, and give her family peace and strength for each day ahead. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer for your dear mother has come before us and we have carried it to the throne of grace with you. To see one so aged, in her eighty sixth year, with the weakness of the kidney increasing and the cloud of dementia upon her mind, is a heavy burden, and we do not wonder that you say life is not easy. The Lord knows the weight you carry as you watch over her.

There is a weakness which is not sinful but is incident to our manhood and appointed of God, the infirmity of the body which comes with years. Scripture tells us that out of weakness we may yet be made strong, not in ourselves but in Him who is our strength. When the creature is weak, then is the time for the Creator to show Himself strong on behalf of His people. David himself felt his weakness keenly when new trials came upon him, and so may you and your mother feel it now, yet the Lord who is very near to us is the one cure for dullness and heaviness and bodily frailty.

We have prayed that the Great Physician, who gives wisdom liberally to them that ask Him, will give wisdom to the doctor who sees your mother tomorrow. We have asked that He will guide every judgment concerning her treatment and the review of her medication, that what is prescribed may be for her comfort and good, and that harm may be kept from her. We have prayed also that the Lord in His mercy would be pleased to sustain her kidney and to spare her pain, as far as it may consist with His holy will, and that He would hold her in His tender keeping, even when memory fails, for He never forgets His own.

May the Lord Himself be very near to you in these days. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you and for your mother. He sees every blood test, every anxious wait, every night and day of watching, and He will not leave you without the grace sufficient for this hour. We will continue to remember you both before the Lord, asking that you may know His peace and His presence, and that whether in weakness or in strength, you may find Him to be your portion.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and Saviour, look in mercy upon this aged handmaiden and upon her child who loves her. Grant wisdom to those who care for her, guide the physician's mind and hand, and let thy will be done in gentleness and mercy. Sustain and comfort them both, and let them feel thy nearness, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
